We celebrate our children’s birthdays, and birthdays of those whom we love, yet these are all not at all classified as Innovations, but the moment a Muslim celebrates the birthday of his beloved Prophet (saw), he is deemed as one who has crossed the boundaries of Islam! Did the Prophet (saw) not say to Umar (ra), that a true believer must love Rasulullah (saw), more than everyone, even more than his own self?
