Special Suhbah for Habib Ali Al-Jufri: 23rd November 2010
In this very special Suhbah, Maulana spoke of the need to always be with Allah, and of how GrandShaykh Abu Yazid Al-Bistami (qs) was yearning to hear his name called by the Divine on Judgement Day. Though we are all covered in Mercy, being part of the forgiven Nation, we must strive to be amongst those closest to Allah, by shedding our animal-like attributes. Those who return like animals, will be placed in ‘stables’. Only clean ones, with Heavenly, Angel-like attributes, are accepted in the Divine presence. So while the animals remain in the stables, the clean ones will be invited into the Palace to have an audience with the King. Rasulullah (saw) said, “I was sent to perfect the human conduct. Some people take comfort in the fact that their countries lie outside the earthquake zone, or that they do not lie along the hurricane belt, or that they are not in the tsunami strike zone. Disasters are sent by Allah, they are not random occurrences due to ‘nature’! Maulana says, each disaster is a precise punishment from the heavens, that claims its victims by Heavenly order, so don’t take comfort in being far from a potential disaster zone. The advent of typhoons and hurricanes, earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, floods, political unrest, deadly diseases and marital conflicts, are signs of Allah’s Anger towards Man intensifying.
