Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
As narrated by Imam Al-Ghazaliق:
“Whoever recites ‘Subḥāna Llāh wa biḥamdī’ 300 times on the day of Eid and dedicates its reward to the deceased Muslims, Allah will send 1,000 lights of mercy into the grave of every Muslim.
And when that person passes away, Allah will grant them 1,000 lights of mercy in their own grave.”
[Mukaashifa-tul-Quloob]
In another narration, Shaykh Adnan Kabbaniق expanded on this:
“Whoever, after the Eid Khutbah, recites 300 times:
Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdihi, Subḥānallāhil-‘Aẓīm, Astaghfirullāh
and dedicates its reward to all the deceased Muslims, Allah will send 1,000 lights of mercy into every Muslim’s grave.
These lights will also reflect upon the reciter’s heart, illuminating it with divine blessings.
And on the Day of Judgment, they will be surrounded by these lights in the Divine Presence of Allah and Rasūlullāh ﷺ.”
Do remember this simple act on Eid and receive its immense blessings in this life and the next, InshaAllah.
Wassalam.
