Youngsters on Allāh’s ﷻ Way

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

When I entered this place, I remembered this Ayah in the Qur’ān that says:

‘إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَاهُمْ هُدًى’

(Qur’ān 18:13)

‘Innahum Fityatun ‘Āmanū Birabbihim Wa Zidnāhum Hudan’

‘Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

There are young people who believe in Allāh ﷻ and Allāh ﷻ gave them more belief. Young people like to be playing and enjoying themselves. They like this. But when Allāh ﷻ wants them to be in His ﷻ way, He ﷻ also makes them happy in His ﷻ way.

There was a King who was like a friend to the youth. He loved them because they’re young. He was happy to be with young people. They don’t have many [worries] things in their head. They don’t have any responsibilities; they’re just with the King enjoying themselves. They weren’t crying or thinking about anything. So whoever’s around them would be happy with them.

So this King was happy with these young people. Here also and everywhere, young people are always happy and make all people happy. They give good energy around them. So people become happy with them. But there’s a problem: they go with bad people.

This King was making people worship him and worship idols. Of course, these young boys were clever. They were saying, “What is this man saying about himself and about idols! How can he do this?” Allāh ﷻ gave them hidāyah into their hearts. They are clever, they thought, “If we tell this man to stop this, he won’t stop. And if we say we are not following this, he may also kill us or torture us.” They decided to run away from him. So they decided to run away at night time and ran away from this King.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla blessed them and wanted a miracle of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to be seen through them. Allāh ﷻ showed human beings one of His ﷻ miracles with them. One of them said, “Our people aren’t listening to us. We cannot be with them. They won’t be happy with us and we are not happy with them. So we should run away from this city to save our belief.” They said, “Our mothers, fathers, relatives don’t believe. They won’t accept us and they will become enemies to us.

The first time I came to Germany was in 1985. The first time I came here I saw new Muslims, believers becoming Muslims, I likened these boys to the ṣaḥābah. Because their whole families, each of their family members were against them. With Mawlānā Shaykh’s barakah, they’ve remained steadfast on this way and are multiplying. They’re not listening to shayṭān and his followers. They have great rewards for this. SubhanAllah, they are chosen ones.

Until 1977 or so, there wasn’t much Islamophobia. But they made this fitnah, bringing first the Iranian Revolution calling it Islamic Revolution. And they were making very bad things to each other, and saying “This is Islām.” Before, it was like this: people were coming a little bit again to Islām. So in 1985, Islamophobia wasn’t so much but people still didn’t accept Islām at all.

At that time, people were able to do anything, and people in this country would accept. Even if someone says, “I am god. I am a prophet” anything, or even if you’re doing a very bad thing, “I am shayṭān.” They were also very happy with this. But don’t say “Islām.” This is very terrible, the most terrible thing for them.

This is the same thing that happened with these boys. They were running away from their village and going to a cave. They said, “We are very tired. And we maybe ran away enough from our village.” And they settled in a cave on the mountain. When the time came, they woke up. They weren’t feeling bad but they said, “Maybe we slept too much. Maybe we slept for a day, two or three.” That’s what they thought, and were asking each other about. They were feeling hungry. They slept for 300 years! [Mawlānā laughs]

They told some of them, “Take this money and go. But be careful not to be caught by people. We cannot go all together. If we go all together, they will know and they’ll inform the King who will catch us. And he will bring us again to his religion. So be careful. Bring food and come back quickly.” So they went to the city. They gave money to the seller to buy food or bread. The man looked, “This money is from 300 years ago!”

The King’s name is Duqyānus. His name was written on the money. All the people around them have become Muslim. All these people, with the barakah of these youngsters, became Muslim. The King probably died, but the whole country became Muslim and attained īmān. When asking about them, they said, “We are Muslim.”

They took this food and went to the mountains. People were telling each other, “We found these boys! We must go and meet them.” They followed their steps and reached the cave. But by the wisdom of Allāh ﷻ, He ﷻ hid them all. They said, “We must make a Masjid here or a place for prayer.” So they built a mosque there.

For this, I remembered them. Masha’Allah here also, in shā’a Llāh, with the barakah of these youngsters, all this country becomes Muslim. Their cave is in Tarsus, in Southern Türkiye. Mawlānā was visiting them. They show them in many places but Mawlānā and Hajjah Anne said the real one is in Tarsus.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
