Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَن يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا’
(Qur’ān 02:269)
Yu’til-hikmata man yashā’u, waman yu’tal-hikmata faqad ūtiya khayran kathīrā’, ‘He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives wisdom to some people. People with wisdom have attained great goodness. What is wisdom? It is understanding good things and doing them so that others benefit from them. This is wisdom.
When something is said, even if it is a good thing, they tell it wrongly when it is without wisdom. Because there is no wisdom. Everyone sees the apparent. But to explain its wisdom is one thing, and to tell things without truth is another thing.
Why are we telling this? Masha’Allah, there are many people everywhere who live by as ‘Alims. They say “We have knowledge. We speak and preach.” They do this and that. But very few have wisdom. Apart from wisdom, there are new groups who don’t accept things that are always practiced in Islam; whatever its use is. They say it is not Sunnah and that there is not such a thing. They come up and speak about it. What do you earn from it? What is your benefit? This only serves their egos. They attack the true things just to show themselves. They say it is wrong and it is not permissible.
When there are so many impermissible and Haram things, you are attacking the things done by Muslims. Why? Because you don’t have wisdom. If you had wisdom – There are so many impermissible things all over the world; Kufr, immorality and dissoluteness. You leave them and say it is impermissible when Muslims fast in Rajab. They say Rajab has no value. This thing has been there since the time of the Sahabah and after our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Certainly, it was in the time of our Holy Prophet ﷺ as well. The Sahabah did it, then Tabi’in did it. All of them did it. You say it is not permissible for something practiced for over 1,400 years. What is it, if not idiotism? It is nothing but lack of wisdom. That’s it.
Wisdom is a very important thing. Hanging out with people without wisdom, listening to them brings harm to people. It doesn’t bring benefit. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. People without wisdom are either idiots, or traitors and hypocrites; nothing else. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
