Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْخَالِصُ
‘Ala li-Llahi d-Deenu l-Khaalisū’,
‘Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion.’
(Qur’ān 39:03).
Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says the religion of Islam is a pure religion. It is the beauty given by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla to people for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. If mankind accepts it, they will have all kinds of goodness. If they believe in Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla with sincerity, if people do the things ordered by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, they become sincere.
Sincerity is a great blessing. How can we have sincerity?
When we do everything with the intention for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, for the pleasure of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. There must also be a Murshid to walk you through that way which is for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. We need a Murshid to be saved. Sincere people know everything from Allah ﷻ. They rely on Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and have great comfort.
We have told this before, there is a kind of Awliya. All Awliya have different conditions and different principles. And there is a kind of Awliya who don’t interfere in the will of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla however it goes. They don’t make Dua for anyone. They don’t speak against anyone. They are in their own state. Certainly, not all Awliya are like that. This is just one group of Awliya. If the world collapses, they won’t care. They won’t get upset, and they won’t get happy. They are the sincere Awliya. All Awliya can be like that. But other Awliya have different duties they have to do. And this kind is a special kind. As we said, no matter if things burn down or collapse, whatever happens, it won’t differ for their hearts and minds. They say, “The will of Allah ﷻ is taking place. We don’t interfere in it at all. We never interfere.” There are not many of them. But there is such a kind.
We make Du’a for people, ask for goodness, ask to be protected from the evil. Doing this is an order for us and some people. But some are special, as we said. We are saying this as an example, because Mu’mins must know this. In order to have sincerity, they must know this as well, that there are such Awliya.
These Awliya are special ones. If they interfere in something, if they have something in their hearts, it will be over for them. They are very few, as we said. People here say the three, the five, the seven and the forty for Awliya. They are different. And these ones are different from them. These have their duty.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says,
بِهِم تُمْطَر ُون، بِهِم تُر ْ زَقُون ، بِهِم تُنْصَرُون
“Bihim tumṭarūn, bihim turzaqūn, bihim tunṣarūn.” “Rain falls upon you by their Barakah. Rizq (provision) comes to you by their means. You reach victory by their means.” Other Awliya have their duties. Rain comes for their honor, Rizq is given, and victory is attained. They have such duties. And they must do that.
The matter of sincerity is not to go astray from the right way. The right way is the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. You must believe that whatever your Rizq is, it will come to you. You must work. Allah ﷻ has given everyone’s Rizq through different ways. You must pay attention to earning Rizq from Halal (permissible) ways. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla helps hardworking people who do it for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. They must say “I must earn this Rizq to provide for my children, to bring them up as good people” and take care of them. They must take care of them to make them good people so that they are useful for others in the future.
Who are the useful people? People with Iman. It is important to bring up people with Iman. When they have Iman, they attain the pleasure of Allahﷻ. Sincerity grows in them. And they become beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. They become from the Awliya of Allah ﷻ.
The Awliya of Allah ﷻ should not only show miracles. The biggest miracle is: “ ِأَجَلُّ الْكَرَامَاتِ دَو َ امُ التَّو ْ فِيق”, “Ajallu l-karāmāt dawāmu t-tawfīq”.
Being always in goodness is the biggest Karāmāh for everyone. If people fight their egos, they reach the level of this Karāmāh. People who are always in goodness, in good deeds and worship attain the biggest Karāmāh. They become beloved servants of Allah ﷻ.
Therefore, sincerity is not to ask for anything. Even if you ask for everything worldly, you must ask that for Akhirah. Worldly things are also necessary to make your Akhirah prosperous. Saying “I am sincere. I don’t want anything worldly” – We don’t ask for worldly things in our hearts. But we need them in our hands. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says a strong Muslim is better than a weak Muslim.
As we said, sincerity is not “Money makes me stronger. I can do everything with money”. Money is for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ, for goodness and charity, to take care of yourself and your family, and to be useful for the Ummah. Who can should do that. But people who care only about money are not sincere. People who have love for money in their hearts and nothing else have no sincerity.
People especially of the present time are confused. They see someone and show respect to him thinking he is sincere. And then they look if he is sincere or not. We are living in the end of times. Everything is different. The truth behind everything you see is different. The main thing is not that. The main thing is something different. Therefore, mind yourself and don’t look at others. The whole world; we are not talking only about here; in the whole world, people are frustrated saying, “This happened and that happened”. No need for that.
Protect yourself. This is the most important thing.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam has informed about these days. All Awliya and ‘Alims have also said this. Our Shaykh, Mawlana Shaykh Nazimق has also told about these things. He also warned about whom to be with and whom to stay away from. He made this warning. Who listens and obeys him keeps his sincerity. Otherwise, there are such events that are one way today and the opposite way tomorrow, that you get surprised.
Shukr to Allah ﷻ, our way is a beautiful way. We keep on the way that is shown to us. The end of this way is Safety with the permission of Allah ﷻ. There will be goodness and benefit for everyone without oppressing others, without doing badness to others with the permission of Allah ﷻ.
We are waiting for Sahibu z-Zaman Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam. No need to show importance to anyone except him. We must be on his way and show importance to him. Who don’t accept him know for themselves. We don’t interfere with them. If you found the jewel, protect it. Don’t give advice to others. You will only lose then. May Allah ﷻ protect us.
May Allah ﷻ send Sahibu z-Zaman as soon as possible, for this world is bad in every respect. It is worse than ever before.
Nevertheless, it is the time of trade now, as we always say. People who worship will be in profit. And as there are difficulties to worship, the more you do, the more rewards Allah ﷻ will give.
May Allah ﷻ increase His ﷻ rewards for all of us insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ be pleased with all of you. May Allah ﷻ give guidance to people. May Allah ﷻ protect people. There are many people under oppression. Also, some people keep slandering our ancestors. May Allah ﷻ improve them. We are away from them, because the punishment of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will surely reach them unless they repent. They will get it from Allah ﷻ, not from us. Because Allah ﷻ is capable of everything.
Those people who slander think something of themselves. They are slandering people for two pennies, especially the Ottoman Sultans. Each of them was an Awliya. We must say this here. They are beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. Who slanders and wrongs them will surely be punished. Shukr to Allah ﷻ, this (message) is spread everywhere. If they repent, the Door of Repentance is open. If they don’t repent, they know for themselves.
We are saying what Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla said, what our Holy Prophet ṣalláLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said. Who slanders will be punished; not by us but by Allah ﷻ. We don’t have bombs and guns. We have Allah ﷻ . Allah ﷻ will give them either guidance or punishment.
May Allah ﷻ protect us.
If people accept the advice, they will be saved. Who won’t accept the advice will regret it. May Allah ﷻ make us from those who accept the advice insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
