Remembering Ḥājjah Amīnah Sulṭān

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

“وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ”,

“Wa-ṭ-ṭayyibūna li-ṭ-ṭayyibāt”,

And good men for good women.” (24:26).

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying good men are for good women. And bad ones are for the bad, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.Good people are the benefit for this world and humanity. Their bodies being together here, or them showing us the way is the greatest favour. Those who follow them and walk on that way, those who meet them attain many things. Even if they don’t meet, thousands of such good, righteous and ṭayyib, beautiful people have come and gone. All awliyā’ and Prophets are ṭayyibūn. It means they are good ones. And ṭayyibāt means good women.

Those who are on the way of Allāh ﷻ, who serve people, who help their husbands, who make this way easy and show this way to people are from them. Such people are rare people. And their way is the way of light. People ask for that. They ask for such people.Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, for most of us – probably there are not many but few are left who met Ḥajjah Anne. But her service is enormous. That service has surely reached all of you. And it will reach until qiyāmah.

She was the helper of Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim. She was in his service. She served humanity. Of course, she changed worlds twenty years ago. She wouldn’t want to see these conditions. That’s why, that was very good for her. Her changing worlds twenty years ago was better for her than seeing these conditions. Because of her compassion, she would not bear these days. Therefore, as she is from the arba‘īn, they took her away immediately. And she is still helping us in ākhirah.

A day before she passed, she had severe pain. What we mean by severe is not that bad pain. It was like bad flu. One of our brothers had insisted that we went to talk to Ḥajjah Anne in the evening. We said she was sick and we’d rather not, but we did. And that morning when we were having rest after prayer, an exclamation came from there. They said Ḥajjah Anne passed away. Our brother Metin came after a while and said Ḥajjah Anne was gone. But before she passed, she passed through Akbaba like a storm and left withouth looking back.

May Allāh ﷻ increase her maqām. Fātiḥah..
