Remember Allāh ﷻ Every Minute

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ

(Qur’ān 09:105)

‘Wa-quli ʿmalū fa-sa-yarā llāhu ʿamalakum‘

‘And say, Do, for Allāh ﷻ will see your deeds.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will see everything you do. Whatever you do, He ﷻ sees it. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, everyone, the prophets and all people, will see it. It has consequences in the hereafter and in this world. We are always under the power of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. There is nothing He ﷻ does not know.

People are ignorant. How are they ignorant? A person who doesn’t even know their Creator is ignorant. A person who doesn’t know the majesty, power, and attributes of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is also ignorant. They think, “I did something, and no one knew, no one is aware.” Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is aware of everything. He ﷻ is our Creator, He ﷻ is the One who sees us, He ﷻ is the One who directs all our actions.

Therefore, you must be careful. A person who is careful is a wise person. A wise person is the one who thinks about the outcome of their actions. A person who doesn’t do this, who doesn’t think about the hereafter, is foolish. A person must constantly strives and works hard so that his end will be good. Otherwise, if one does what their ego desires, then they will have lost everything. One must consider this.

The motto of our ṭarīqah is: ‘الله حاضري، الله ناظري، الله شاهدي’. “Allāh ﷻ hādiri, Allāh ﷻ nādhiri, Allāh ﷻ shāhidi”, “Allāh ﷻ is present with me, Allāh ﷻ sees what I do, Allāh ﷻ is my Witness.” This is what it means to be in the remembrance of Allāh ﷻ every minute; it means to remember Allāh ﷻ, to be with Allāh ﷻ. May Allāh ﷻ never remove this from our hearts, in shā’a Llāh.

Being with Him ﷻ every moment is the most beautiful thing; remembering Allāh ﷻ. Everything you do will be good then. Of course, a person cannot do this every minute. He should keep Him ﷻ in his mind as much as he can.

We should think, “Allāh ﷻ sees us. I should not do evil. If we do good, Allāh ﷻ will be pleased with us,” and act accordingly. That is what a beautiful life is. That is what a good life is. That is what the most beneficial life is. Without it, it is incomplete. If we never remember Him ﷻ, it is a loss.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ always keep Him ﷻ in our minds, hearts, and thoughts, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allāh at-Tawfiq.
