Madad, yaa Sultaan al-Awliya. Madad, yaa RijalAllah.
“Yaa Rabbana, wa‘fu ‘anna wa’ghfir lanaa wa’rhamna wa’nsurna ‘ala ’l-qawmi ’l-kaafireen, wa azhir Sayyidina al-Mahdi, ‘ajaban-Allah, bi-jaahi nabiyyika. Wa‘fu ‘anna wa’ghfir lanaa wa tub ‘alayna. Tubna wa raja‘na.”
“O our Lord! Pardon us, forgive us, have mercy on us, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people. Manifest our Master, al-Mahdi (AS), by the miraculous power of Your Prophet ﷺ. Pardon us, forgive us, and accept our repentance. Turn us back to You in sincere repentance, and grant us hope and return to Your obedience.”
Dastoor, yaa Sayyidi. Today is the 14th of Sha‘ban. It is a holy month, and the night of the 15th of this holy month is going to be the most important night of the year after the Night of Power. Maybe that, maybe this. Only He ﷻ knows.
The Prophets (AS) taught us about the Night of Baraʾah, the night when the destiny of every servant for the coming year is decided and written. On this night, everything concerning us is decreed, distributed, increased, delayed, or withheld.
Tonight marks the beginning of the Heavenly New Year, which begins on the Night of Baraʾah. On this night, our fate is going to be written individually and collectively on the Preserved Tablet, who is coming to life and who is leaving this life for the Next Life.
The names of those who will come to dunya are written, and their time in dunya is decided, thirty years, forty years, fifty years, seventy years, ninety years. Everything is written for each person, including all matters of their personal life. This will not change. Who will come, who will die, what they will do, and what will be given to them in this world is determined by Divine Decree.
Now we are living in the final stage of the life of mankind, passing through the 15th Islamic century and approaching its close. According to our intentions, according to our actions and efforts, tonight we may still change what is written, but after that there will be no more changing.
People on Earth are of two kinds. One group is the positive group, and the other is the negative group. The positive group are believers who run after good deeds, moving toward their Lord ﷻ and serving the creatures of the Creator ﷻ. They are the useful ones.
The other group are the negative people. They never think about the approach of the Last Days. They only make trouble for people, causing suffering to people, hurting and killing them. One group is trying to help people and make them happy. The other group finds happiness in giving trouble.
Tonight, the deeds of all people will be written, either in the right hand for goodness or in the left hand for sins.
O People. According to the Prophet ﷺ, tonight is such an important night. Keep yourself in a good state with your Lord ﷻ, so that you may reach His mercy and find happiness in this life, and in the Hereafter.
This is the first night, and tomorrow will be the first day of a new year for the whole world. It is not a Hijri year, and it is not a Western calendar year. It belongs to the Heavens.
O People. Keep your physical being and your hearts clean for a new beginning. I fear that the bad actions of people and their worst intentions may suddenly bring a Heavenly punishment upon them.
If they do not say, “O our Lord ﷻ. You created us, and we did so many wrong things. You are the Only One who forgives and gives us strength so that we may become Your obedient servants,” then Heavenly punishment may descend upon them.
O People. This night is extremely important, as it may be the last holy night granted to people. Next year, the appearance of this world may be changed. It may be that out of five people, only one remains, according to Divine Wisdom.
This is a curse upon the path some people are running, a path that leads to destruction. They are running away from life, mercy, and obedience, and toward punishment. Whoever continues on that path may be touched by every kind of suffering, according to Heavenly knowledge. It may be that only a handful of people may remain on Earth.
If punishment descends upon the Earth, it will appear like an empty desert. No homes, no trees, no oceans, no rain. Everything that once pleased people will be taken away. For those who remain, Allah Almighty will open another world.
A day will come when your world will be changed beyond recognition, and people will say, “Is this the dunya that we once lived in?” Only a handful of people will remain, those who believe and honor their Lord ﷻ, as Allah ﷻ has willed, while the rubbish of others will be swept away.
O People. Whatever Allah Almighty has decreed will happen. I am asking forgiveness for myself and for you. I ask that our intentions be good ones.
May Allah ﷻ forgive us and send us leaders who may carry us on a safe way, a way with which Allah ﷻ will be pleased. Otherwise, understanding will be taken away.
O People. Today dunya, tomorrow the graveyard. Don’t say, “I am rich” or “I am this and that.” None of this will benefit you. Only good deeds done with good intentions will benefit you with your Lord ﷻ.
Yaa Rabbana. We are only Your servants. Don’t leave us to Shaytan to become his servants. Whoever runs toward Allah ﷻ will be saved, and whoever runs after Shaytan will be taken to Hellfire. Astaghfirullah.
This is an ocean that could be spoken about until next week or next year if power were given. But I am weak, and you are weak also.
O People. Ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness and His endless Oceans of Mercy on this night. Ask by the honor of the Seal of Prophets ﷺ, that we may be saved from evil and from a bad destination after death.
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, ‘Azeez Allah.
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Kareem Allah.
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah.
Subhan sen, Sultan sen, yaa Rabb!
You are Sultan! You are Subhaan! You are Rahmaan! O our Lord ﷻ.
“Ighfir lanaa maa madaa fee salif hayatuna.” Forgive us for what has passed of our lives.
Send us Your righteous servants who may save us and change our ways, so that we may become true followers of the Holy Qur’an and Holy Islam, for the honor of RasulAllah ﷺ, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallim.”
Al-Fatiha.

This series was initiated by the SufiHub Team in honour of the 2nd Urs of our beloved Sheikh, the late Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Sattar Khan, who lovingly dedicated himself to transcribing and summarising the daily sohbahs of Mawlana Sheikh Nazimق.
It was through this blessed service that he began his journey on this beautiful Way in 2008, remaining steadfast upon it until his final breath in 2023. Today, his legacy continues at our Zawiyah at A’Posh Bizhub Singapore through his representatives Sidi Shalihin, Ismail, and Syed Muhammad, who humbly carry forward the path he sincerely paved.
We pray that our dear Sheikh Abdul Sattar has been reunited with his beloved Mawlana Sheikh Nazimق and all our Grandshaykhs, and that their light continues to guide us always on the way of Haqq.
The text was originally taken from Liberating the Soul – A Guide for Spiritual Growth by Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqaniق. With love and sincere intention, parts of this sohbah have been gently revised by the SufiHub Team for clarity and contextual relevance.
If you wish to share it on your platforms, kindly post it in full and ensure that proper credit is given to all its sources. For this is adab, the very core of our beautiful religion and way.
Should you have any queries or concerns, you are always welcome to reach us at thesufihubteam@gmail.com.
Wassalam.
