A‘ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَو َ اتِ و َ الصَّلَ َ ةِ الْو ُ سْطَى ٰ و َ قُومُوا لِلّ ِ َّ ِ قَانِتِين َ
“Ĥāfižū `Alá Aş-Şalawāti Wa Aş-ŞalāatiAl-Wusţá Wa Qūmū Lillāh Qānitīn”,

“Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer
and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient.”

(Qur’an 02:238).

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is ordering us to keep our prayers. Perform all your prayers, and the most important is the middle prayer. There is a disagreement on whether the middle prayer, Salatu l-Wusta is the Fajr prayer or Asr prayer. But mostly, it is Fajr prayer. Fajr prayer is the most precious prayer, because its time is difficult for most people: to get up early in the morning, to get up at the end of the night and pray. Because the night prayers are more virtuous and because it is at the end of the
night, it is important. It is the most virtuous. Everything has something as the most virtuous, and this is the most virtuous among prayers.

Praying ‘Isha then waking up for Fajr prayer is considered as if one stayed up the whole night, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. If you start the day with prayer and do all the things with your intention being for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ, then all of them are counted as worship. We will have fulfilled the purpose of our creation. Allāh ﷻ created us so that we worship. His ﷻ order will be fulfilled, and all kinds of goodness will come to mankind.

And still, those who cannot perform it [Fajr prayer] on time, after the sun rises, they can perform it again until Dhuhr with its Sunnah. Of course, its reward is not the same as praying it on time. Nevertheless, Allāh ﷻ accepts it. You will have started the day with worship.

May Allāh ﷻ accept all our worship insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq Al-Fatiha.
