Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

May Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla bless all our days. Some days are blessed days. The holy days are holy according to the Hijrī Calendar. The Gregorian is for the dates. It is valueless because of other things.
There were some things that confused people. They made people value some unnecessary things. Today is the 20th of April. It is the birthday of our Holy Prophet ﷺ according to the Gregorian calendar. But today is not the Mawlid. The month of Mawlid is different. The month of Mawlid is in Rabi’ ul-Awwal. Rabi’ ul-Awwal doesn’t come in the same time. It constantly changes according to the Gregorian calendar of the year. Therefore, that blessed day is not today. Today is a time as a date. They used to say this in terms of the Gregorian date to weaken the īmān of Muslims. “This is the week of birth. It’s the birthday.”
Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim never accepted this. There is no religious day in terms of the Gregorian calendar. All of them, our religion of Islām is according to the Hijrī calendar, according to the Lunar; not the solar year but the lunar year. The sign of Islām is the crescent, the moon. It is act according to it that we are obligated to perform our worship. The Islamic ethics and principles are according to the Hijrī calendar. The same applies to ḥajj, Ramaḍān and the holy days.
This is what applies in Islām. But in order to change Islām, some ill-intentioned people have a group that fasts Ramaḍān in winter. I think people haven’t heard of that. They have something like that. They used to make these days of April as the birth week of our Prophet ﷺ. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, they have no benefit; they have nothing but harm.
Therefore, we must be careful about the days, the times. Muslims must do what our Prophet ﷺ did. They must say what he ﷺ said. And they must reject what he ﷺ said to reject. What they must accept is his ﷺ way. His ﷺ way is the way of light. His ﷺ way is the way of ḥaqq. Who goes to another way goes astray. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. The way is ṭarīqah. Ṭarīqah is what preserves that way. There are other projects. After the time of our Prophet ﷺ and even in his ﷺ time, there were false prophets. They were gone, and there were others who came after them. Until the Day of Judgment, shayṭān will not remain idle. They come up with things according to their own minds. They confuse people and destroy their īmān.
Therefore, the way of ṭarīqah is a solid way. We should follow it. A person in ṭarīqah does not go on other ways. He goes on the right way, upon istiqāmah, on the way of our Prophet ﷺ with Allāh’s ﷻ permission. May Allāh ﷻ make us steadfast. May He ﷻ not let us be confused in shā’a Llāh. People are confused. They know the bad as good, and the good as bad. They know the wrong as right, and the right as wrong. There are many things that confuse people. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May He ﷻ not separate Muslims from the right way, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
