Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
Maulana Sheikh Nazimق’s Suhbah

Thumma salaamu `alaykum ayyuha ’l-mu’mineen wa ’l-mu’minaat wa ’l-muslimeena wa ’l-muslimaat. As- salaamu `alaykum to all attendees. Today is the first day of the new year, and we are asking for it to be a holy year for all of mankind.
O people, the most dangerous one for mankind is Shaytan, the most terrible enemy. That is why we begin by saying, “A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,” asking for a new beginning for mankind on this Earth.
The first day of the first month is officially tomorrow. If you are able, fast the last day of the year and also the first day of the new year. The Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him), Sayyid al-Awwaleen wa ‘l-Akhireen, gave glad tidings that whoever fasts the last day of the previous year and the first day of the new year will be like one who fasts the whole year.
O people, mubarak to us, mubarak for the new year. This is a fixed day, without doubt. The Western calendar and many other differences among people have caused confusion over other days, but this day is clear and fixed.
O people, we are reaching the last century of the dunya. As the Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him) said, Allah Almighty gives to his nation. If they follow the straight and true way, many more days will be given to them. But if they leave the straight way, they will have far fewer days. One day in the Divine Presence equals one thousand years. That means his nation will last up to 1,500 years. When that time comes, dunya will end and Judgment Day will begin.
He (peace be upon him) also said that when people near the Last Day, Shaytan will come close to them and make them deny all heavenly matters. Because they are spiritually drunk, they begin to reject all that is holy. Sadly, some are even saying now, “There is no god.” When people reach that point, the Divine anger of the Lord of Heavens will draw near to this world.
Every nation now denies heavenly commands and the prophets sent by Heaven. They have lost belief. Instead of following the blessed ones sent with heavenly messages, people deny them and run after Shaytan. That brings curses upon them. Wherever we look now, we see cursed people. Even if you offer them treasures, they refuse, while humanity remains hungry and restless.
Troubles rise in every nation and among people everywhere. There are heavenly signs as well, like earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes. No one can stop them. These are terrible signs warning of terrible days to come. Even if all were given treasures, they would not find peace.
O people, take care. From the Heavens come either blessings or curses. People are running away from blessings and chasing curses, which now fall upon Earth. Great signs will appear, including eclipses of the sun and moon. Many will die, and wars will wipe out most of the population. It will not be only a few who perish, but millions. May Allah protect us.
O people, seek shelter under divine protection. Enough with spiritual drunkenness. Run toward heavenly blessings for safety in this life and the next. Signs are already appearing, and this new year brings great risks. We have been ordered to warn the people.
O people, look after yourselves. If divine punishment comes, there will be no escape. Many signs show that this month and beyond will be filled with hardship and disasters. This month, Muharram, has always been a time when Allah gives believers a chance to stand. Now most people are in denial, and they will go, while the minority will remain on Earth. Whoever wants to reach better days must turn to the divine commands of the Lord of Heavens. Obedience is a shelter. Disobedience brings divine punishment.
O people, try your best to stay in your homes. Do not go outside. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:
And when they came across a valley of ants, an ant warned, “O ants! Go quickly into your homes so Solomon and his armies do not crush you, unknowingly.” Sadaqa Llahu l-‘Azim.
One ant warned all the ants to enter their homes quickly. Today, even though it is not good for them, people still go outside. Get indoors. Muslims, stay inside. If you seek anything, do so in holy places, in mosques. Men may go to the mosque, women should stay at home. Muslims are disobeying heavenly commands, and this brings danger to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
The great war of Armageddon, will happen closer to the Day of Resurrection and will not take millions but billions of people.
O people, protect yourselves if you want to be saved. If not, you will be taken. Do not say, “The river is calm.” A sudden flood can sweep everyone away. Leave what is forbidden and keep to the divine commands of the Lord of Heavens. If not, this flood will carry billions to the next life.
May Allah forgive us. We are not joking. Time is up and divine revenge is near. May Allah forgive us.
O people, keep saying astaghfirullah again and again, hundreds or thousands of times. Send blessings and peace upon the Prophet. Keep provisions in your homes for your families. Allah provides for everyone, but you must take care. If trouble strikes, shops and markets may be empty. Do not store money. Store food and necessities for your family.
O people, come and listen. The Day of Resurrection is near, and unexpected events are approaching fast. May Allah forgive us. Try to live for Allah so He may protect you. May Allah forgive and shelter us. Keep praying. Leave forbidden acts. Hold firm to your faith. Guard your honour. Watch over your children. May Allah protect you and give you goodness in this life and the next. We are only making a heavenly declaration.
O people, do not go out at night. It is dangerous. Do not go out during the day without a real reason. Remain in your homes and mosques. Pray for one another. Watch over your children. Avoid forbidden acts, for they bring divine punishment. Guard your honour. Be obedient servants to Allah Almighty.
Recite “RabbunAllah, hasbunAllah” 100 times daily, and also recite Salaatu Tunjeena (also known as Salatu Munajiyyah) for your protection.
O listeners, those who do not accept this will fall into a valley of heedlessness from which they will not escape.
Astaghfirullah, Tawbah yaa Rabbi, tawbah astaghfirullah. O our Lord, send us heavenly armies to fight Shaytan and its followers. Ameen. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi ‘l-`Alameen.
Al-Fatiha.
