This is the second post following Guide to Safar ul Khayr.

Wednesday, 20th August 2025

27th of Safar.

It is said that 70,000 afflictions descend upon creation on this day.

The Prophet ﷺ asked, “Who will be the one to give me good tidings of the end of Safar al-Khayr?” Numerous previous nations perished during this month.

Mawlana Sheikh Nazimق said:

The month of Safar is the heaviest month among the 12 months and the last Wednesday of Safar is also the most difficult day. Disasters may overtake many places.

Pray at least 2 raka’ats that day and beg that the roof over your head does not fly off suddenly; that you not be flooded, as in many places; that volcanoes may not erupt, as they erupted in many places; that the ocean may not overflow the lands as it has in so many places.

O little human beings, fear Allah ! Have shame before Allah and avoid doing doing evil. Live for Allah alone, worshipping Him as His sincere servants.

Recommended Worship and Devotions on the Last Wednesday of Safar:

We are strongly encouraged to follow the Adab of Grandsheikh Abdullah Al-Fa’iz Ad-Daghestaniق, as conveyed by Sheikh Adnan Kabbaniق.

Alongside our regular Daily Adab and Awrad, observe the following practices on the final Wednesday of Safar:

1️⃣ Safar Wazifa

2️⃣ After sunrise, pray 2 raka’at Solatul Hifz (Prayer of Protection)

3️⃣ Between Zuhur and Asar, pray 4 raka’at Solatul Safar and offer the reward (Ihda) as a gift to Rasulullah ﷺ and our noble Mashaykh.

Simplified version following Mawlanaق’s latest Sohbah on 19th August can be found here.

4️⃣ Give charity before leaving the house. (Hajjah Rukiye advised giving charity twice on this day in her Sohbah)

5️⃣ Unless absolutely necessary, avoid going out from Fajr of the last Wednesday of Safar until Fajr on Thursday.

If you must go out, return home swiftly.

6️⃣ Refrain from eating fish or any seafood that has been brought out from the oceans on this day.

7️⃣ Qurban (animal sacrifice) if you have the means.

8️⃣ Wear Green!
