We Have Our Ancestors’ Trust

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَاءُ”

(Qur’ān 07:128)

“Inna l-‘Arda li-Llāhi Yūrithuhā Man Yashā’u”

“Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills.” Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

This earth, the entire universe belongs to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷻ says this about the earth. It belongs to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷻ gives to whom He ﷻ wills.

People who live on earth shouldn’t think that it will remain theirs. Everything will go. No one will remain. So, this wealth, property, land, house, palaces and so on: a person can’t take anything. He doesn’t leave anything behind. If he leaves, others will take it. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave this to the people. People think, “Dunyā is mine. This property is mine. This thing is mine.” When he closes his eyes, it is gone, nothing remains.

Therefore, sometimes a person looks – our ancestors left us this thing, they left so much countries for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, they made jihād, they brought people to Islām. You see, there is kufr there. That is not important. What is important is that whom Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants, whoever Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants to put, He ﷻ puts in that place.

Therefore, in the places that are Muslim Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla definitely puts good people there. If there are bad people, He ﷻ sweeps them away. In some places, our ancestors were martyred, they shed their blood so that it would be for Islām. Those who came after them are not kafir. Those who came from their lineage, their descendants are as if they are Muslims but have nothing to do with being Muslim. They have nothing to do with humanity either.

They just live for their ego, in pursuit of their ego. Their ego has ridden them and they are running after it. Wherever there is something that will satisfy their ego, they are running after it. They have forgotten Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They have forgotten the religion. They have forgotten everything. And then claim they will do good. Allāh ﷻ takes them, and puts good people in their places.

Therefore, mankind should think that instead of living in vain in dunyā and doing such evil he should fear Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla that He ﷻ will bring better people in their place. He will bring those who believe. This is important. All Muslims started running after shayṭān. There are many Muslims; they say one billion, they say two billion but they have no value. Why? Because they follow their egos. Even if one seems Muslim, he still follows his ego in the slightest thing. He does what his ego wants.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May He ﷻ protect us from the evil of our own egos. This trust of our ancestors is with us. The best gift for them is us being on the way of Allāh ﷻ. If we are not on the way of Allāh ﷻ, they will not benefit you. They will not help you. May Allāh ﷻ help us all. May Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla send the Sahib for the Islamic world, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
