The sign of a believer, is the feeling of joy and anticipation, at the approach of Ramadhan.
The sign of a hypocrite, is the feeling of dread and agitation, at the approach of Ramadhan.
Ramadhan is the month where every Sunnat act is counted as a Fardhu worship, and every Fardhu worship is multiplied 70 times.
The Sahabah used to complete all their worldly matters in Sha’aban, so as to give undivided attention to Ramadhan.
They used to pay out their Zakatul Mal in the last days of Sha’aban, so that the poor would have the means to prepare for Ramadhan from the Zakat money…
Ramadhan is not the month of shopping for food at the bazaar or buying new Eid clothes.
It is a month of tilawatul Qur’an, qiyamul lail, terawih, sahoor & iftar in moderation, much night vigil and iktikaf.
It is a month to return to the purity of a newborn child, Eidul Fitri.
The Prophetﷺ said:
“My curse be upon the one who reached Ramadhan, but did not attain Allahﷻ’s forgiveness within it.”
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
