They Do Not Fear the Blame

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ”

(Qur’ān 05:54)

“Wa Lā Yakhāfūna Lawmata Lā’imin”

“And do not fear the blame of a critic.” Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n. This is for the people who dislike them. They say bad things to those who are Muslim. But they are not afraid that bad things will be said to them, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They are believers. Because their way is the right way. They are the right ones. Those who are not right get angry at them, reprove, fight, curse, and insult them. They don’t care about them at all, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

So if you’re on the right way, let them say whatever they want to say. Don’t be with ignorant with the ignorant people. Let them say whatever they want. If there is someone who will understand, if there is someone who will understand the intent, you can talk to him. If he asks you what you don’t like and so, you can answer him and talk to him. Otherwise, when people come at you just to cause you harm, don’t care about them. Don’t be afraid of them. Nothing they say has any value. No badness will befall you. Badness will befall them.

Therefore, when you are on the right way, make shukr to Allāh ﷻ, “I am on this way. Shayṭāns are attacking me. I am being aggressed by the shayṭāns. They have a grudge, hatred and aversion for those who are on the way of Allāh ﷻ.” So, you should be happy that you are on the way of Allāh ﷻ. That is also a something that will not go in vain for you. Allāh ﷻ will give you its reward. People attacked you, did evil to you, spoke bad words to you and you were patient, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will give you your reward for that patience. This favor – every favor has a reward. At the least, sometimes people look at you a little strangely, even if they don’t say anything. Even that look is beneficial to you. It’s a thawāb and reward for you.

So, who is on the way of Allāh ﷻ should make shukr. You should make shukr for the grace and protection of Allāh ﷻ, that you are not among those who are like others who oppose Him ﷻ and speak bad words to those who are with Him ﷻ. You should make du’ā’ for them. Because when most people are on the bad way, later many return to the right way, and they regret it.

Therefore, this way is a beautiful way. We should make du’ā’ for guidance for them too. Of course, there are many ṣaḥābah, there are great ṣaḥābah who were the main enemies of Islām. Then, they became the main defenders. Those people became the leaders of the believers. First, they fought against Islām. There are many who fought against our Holy ‎Prophet ﷺ. They too were then guided and reached the highest ranks of the ṣaḥābah.

Therefore, may Allāh ﷻ guide them. May Allāh ﷻ guide those who are against Islām, those who do not like Islām, those who act ignorantly and attack Islām. As we said, don’t be sad that they did not like you and said these words. They either regret it or they are guided, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
