The Last Wednesday of Safar

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Today is the last Wednesday of Safar ul-Khayr. Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says there is heaviness on this day. Everything has a wisdom in it. It comes down like this, says our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. It will be good for Mu’mins, and the rest who deserve it will get what they deserve.

Therefore, as soon as the month of Safar starts, we recite 300 times AstaghfiruLlah every day and ask Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla to accept our repentance, to forgive us and not to give us punishment, not to give us hardship.

Because we are sinners. We know our sins. We are mistaken. And we know our mistakes. Therefore, we repent and ask forgiveness every day so that He ﷻ doesn’t punish us and forgives us. But those who go against Him ﷻ will certainly get their punishment.

There hasn’t been such a time of rebellion against Allah ﷻ since the world was created. They had gone against Him ﷻ sometimes, but not as much as now. They are ordering not the best but the worst of everything now. There is no goodness at all. When it seems like goodness, there are lies, hypocrisy and tricks. Otherwise, shaytan has many tricks, but these people have become worse than shaytan.

Therefore, everything has a wisdom. The heaviness of this Wednesday once a year is disciplinary. It is punishment for them. Therefore, believers and those who repent and ask forgiveness should not be afraid with the permission of Allah ﷻ. Allah ﷻ will protect them. Allah ﷻ loves those who repent and ask forgiveness. If those who commit sins repent and ask forgiveness, He ﷻ will accept it.

There is an Ayah in the Qur’an that says: If they return and repent, Allah ﷻ will accept it. But they are stubborn and arrogant. They think they are important. They’ve learnt a couple of words and keep repeating it by heart. Those who follow them are very mindless. We cannot say anything else about them.

Clever people won’t go after these tricks. They won’t leave the right way. The way is clear. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has shown everything to people. Those who leave it and follow other people will perish. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

The punishment in this world is a warning. We should not see it as bad. We should see it as good so that people return to the right way. Just like the animals are whipped, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla does these things so that people return to the right way.

When there is hardship, people start calling “Allah”. When there is no hardship, they think that they are the greatest. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

Insha’Allah today will pass lightly with the permission of Allah ﷻ. May the oppressors have its heaviness, badness and disasters so that they fall off the backs of believers.

May Allah ﷻ protect us.
