The Black Cursed Liquid Poison

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

AlhamduliLlah, we arrived safely to London. And the first place we came to visit is this mosque. It’s our first time coming here, alhamduliLlah. MashaAllāh, Muslims are building many mosques. Nearly 50 years ago, when Mawlānā Shaykh first came, there was nothing, no mosque at all. Even the central mosque was a tent there. AlhamduliLlah, after that, thousands came. AlhamduliLlah, this is a light. It is the House of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. House of Allāh ﷻ spreads light, spreads blessings, spreads barakah.

AlhamduliLlah, Allāh ﷻ rewards those who build a mosque or help in a mosque, help in anything for Islām. But regarding mosques, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam say, who builds a mosque or helps in a mosque, Allāh ﷻ will build for him a palace in Jannah, in Paradise. When you make something good, just like they put money and take interest, this is an interest for forever. AlhamduliLlah, this is nice, masha’Allāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless all of you. AlhamduliLlah, i think everybody who helps, whether small or big, has helped. May Allāh ﷻ reward us, in shā’a Llāh.

As we said, this is the House of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Allāh ﷻ is the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent; Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. We must also be merciful to people, to the creations of Allāh ﷻ. This way is the way of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. From his ﷺ way came the ‘Ulama s-Salihīn, Awliyā’u Llāh, Mashāyikh. All are following this way. They want goodness for the creatures, creatures of Allāh ﷻ.

Human or not human, everything: we must be merciful to them, not tough. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says about Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, “رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ”, “Raūfun raḥīm”, “Kind and merciful.” (Qur’an 09:128). Meaning very gentle, very merciful, our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. We are Muslims, we must imitate him ﷺ as much as we can. We must think good towards everything, towards everyone; not be an enemy, not envy. Because everything is under the control of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

There is one Awliyā’, big Awliyā’ from Türkiye. His name is Merkez Efendi. He was a big ālim and a Qādi, Judge, I think. He left this. His Sheikh made many tests for him. Then he came and the Sheikh made him very close to him. Many of his Murīds were old; maybe fourty or thirty years old. They were a little bit jealous of him, “How is this? He is a new one. He came and the Sheikh is happy with him.” So the Sheikh wanted to teach them all a lesson.

He said, “I am asking everybody: If Allāh ﷻ gives you power, what will you do?” One of them said, “I will make all the world Muslim.” Another said, “I will finish all the Kāfirs.” Another said, “I will not let anybody be poor.” Others said many things. When he reached Merkez Efendi, he asked him, “What will you do?” “I will not do anything,” he said. “Why?” “I will keep everything in its Merkez.” Merkez means the same position, not changing anything.

“Why?” the Sheikh asked. He said, “Because Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants this. I cannot interfere with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.” For this, we must also be happy. And as much as we can help, as much as we can do, we should do. But not with force or violence. When Allāh ﷻ wants hidāyah for somebody, Allāh ﷻ sends him hidāyah. If you do anything, you cannot do so. But with softness, with mercy, with making good things with people, people will be happier with you, and Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will be happy with you. This is good intention. Our intention is good towards people, towards humanity.

Nowadays, of course, it is the end of life – end of “life” I said – i meant the end of times for Banī Adam. Everything is very difficult, very miserable. People are not happy. Allāh ﷻ has given them everything but they are not happy. Why? Because they have envy, they have bad intention, bad character, every bad thing. They only want for themselves, not for others. Allāh ﷻ has given us good thinking. You must think. If everybody is good, you will also be good. Everything will be good. But when you are not happy, others are also not happy, others are also jealous of each other, trying to make problems to each other, and then all people will be in misery, in poorness.

Now, Ramaḍān is coming, Shahru Ramaḍān. In Ramaḍān, normally – in any time you can give zakāt – but in Ramaḍān it’s best in order not to forget. So when people are asking for money, they say “We don’t have money.” Why? Because rich people are not giving their zakāt, not thinking of others. For if they give, it will be enough for all poor people. But when they’re not giving, the curse of Allāh ﷻ comes upon those who are not giving. And poor people will also be more aggressive, more miserable. And they will make du’ā’ against those who are not giving, those who are not looking after them. All the system will be bad.

Islām is showing us the best for humanity, for the whole world. Now, since a hundred years, there is no Islām at all. Nobody is saying, “We are Muslim.” We have now two billion Muslims, but of no benefit at all. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, you will be too many Muslims, you will be a very lot of Muslims, but there will be no value for you. Your value is like tides of foam. Foam, bubbles have no benefit; nothing. Maybe somebody is happy with bubbles, but it’s of no benefit.

This is because they left the real Islām which was last with the Khalīfah, the last Ottoman Emperor, which wasn’t only for Turkish people. There were seventy nations there: Muslim, Christian, Catholic, Orthodox, Armenian, Ethiopian, Zardusht. Anything you can imagine was in the Ottoman Empire, which is the Islamic Empire. They were giving justice everywhere, defending the poor people, the oppressed people everywhere.

They finished the Ottoman Empire, and the whole world was finished with it. They thought, “When we finish this empire, we will be happy, we will be good.” No, they finished it, but they it has become worse and worse. They are suffering. And still, they are not accepting this. They’re poisoning everybody in this world spiritually and physically also. Even the sea is full of poison, this black poison. Wherever it is there is misery, there are bad things, bad luck. This black liquid is: Petrol. Wherever there is petrol, a curse is coming there.

Everybody is coming upon them, killing them, taking them, not giving them anything. But in the Ottoman time, no. And they say the Ottomans were taking from people. In the Ottoman time, what was in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf or other places? Desert only. The Sultan was sending them to feed them, to give them everything, and they didn’t appreciate that. And when the petrol came, this black cursed liquid, they destroyed the Ottomans and destroyed the whole world.

Still, until now you see: where petrol is, there is a curse. They’re running after it. SubhanAllāh, it was not good from beginning; not good. In old times, they were coming from someplace saying, “What is this black liquid! It is very dirty. From where is this coming upon us!” This was maybe 200 years ago. They didn’t know about petrol, or about anything of this. After that, when they knew what it is, they started killing each other, killing all people, poor people, and saying “We are saving this.” This is the opposite of the Just System. They finished the only Just System. They killed it. After that, not anymore.

We are AlhamduliLlah – Muslims are happy because they depend on Allāh ﷻ. And Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, “There will be a time that will be very bad, a very dark time, oppression, Zulum, and every bad thing. That it will become as black nights. But when this happens, after that, Allāh ﷻ will send one from my sons (lineage). He will take away all this darkness and will fill the whole world with justice, with peace, in shā’a Llāh.” This is also a good tidings. Because we know this, we depend on Allāh ﷻ. We are not afraid.

Who are the ones afraid? The other people; “What will happen? This is taking this country. This is taking another country. This is bombing here, bombing there.” All of this doesn’t matter for the Muslim. Allāh ﷻ will reward any oppressed one; Allāh ﷻ rewards him. But for the oppressors, no mercy for them. May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe. In shā’a Llāh, may Allāh ﷻ send us Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salām to see the good days.

As Allāh ﷻ promised Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam: the whole world will be in peace; no trouble. This will be happening. It is Ākhiru z-Zaman, in shā’a Llāh, it is the end of times now. We are waiting, in shā’a Llāh, for Sayyidina Al-Mahdī ‘alayhi s-salām. May Allāh ﷻ send him to save this ummah, to save humanity, all humanity, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
