Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

Today AlhamduliLlah is Friday which is a hadiyyah, gift from Allāh ﷻ for Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and his ﷺ nation. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam praises Jum’ah. He ﷺ said, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave the best day especially for Ummat Muhammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Friday is special, and every Friday night is a blessed night. It begins from Maghrib, last night, until Saturday.
So everything is more valuable on this day. On this day, Allāh ﷻ created the world and Qiyāmah will be on this day. And it is very important for Muslims because on this night Allāh ﷻ sends who passed away from Muslims to visit their family. For this, we must also give them a gift.
The Gift is not like that some group of people who are not believers, not Muslim, who are not looking at Jum’ah and so, but some people put food, some people put alcohol at the grave of their family. They think it is good for them. These are the non-Muslims.
For the Muslims, the best thing, Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, to visit if possible, if you are near your mother and father’s grave and read Surat Yāsin. This is the best gift for them. Of course, you can give charity in their name, you can give any help to people with the intention of this reward going to them.
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says also, every time you do something, you pray, fast, say it’s for your mother and father and who you love, Allāh ﷻ will give the same reward for them. And it will be not coming from you or be any less for you. This is from Allāh ﷻ. So you won’t lose anything. It’s the opposite of that. You will win.
Your father and mother will be happy. They will be blessed. All this is coming to them. After they pass away, there will be no rewards for them. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, there will only be this good gift coming from family or from other people. Of course, there is sadaqah jāriyah, and knowledge that can benefit people; not knowledge that’s making people not good.
Allāh ﷻ has given everything for the benefit of human beings. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is calling them to save themselves, but they are running away. There is fire. People run away from fire, but these people are running towards fire. Fire is not easy. The worst pain for anybody is burning. Even injury is not as bad as burning.
For this, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, go away from hell, go away from fire, come to paradise. Allāh ﷻ is merciful and He ﷻ gives everyone so he can, in shā’a Llāh, come to paradise. May Allāh ﷻ give hidayah for all of them. And may Allāh ﷻ keep us safe from bad things, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
Al-Fatiha.
