The Anniversary of Badr

Today is a blessed day. It is the 17th of Ramaḍān, a beautiful page in the history of Islām. It is the first victory of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam over mushriks and kāfirs with the grace of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. It is the day when those who had oppressed for years and been arrogant, who had gone against Allāh ﷻ and our Holy Prophet ﷺ became defeated.

Today is the day of the Battle of Badr, the 17th of Ramaḍān. It is the will of Allāh ﷻ. As long as Allāh ﷻ wants, everything is easy. Even if few people, even if just one person, he can defeat 100,000 people when Allāh ﷻ is with him. Therefore, it was not important that our Holy Prophet ﷺ was not with many people against those mushriks. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla had promised our Holy Prophet ﷺ that he ﷺ would win. That is why, it was not difficult at all with the permission of Allāh ﷻ.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla arranges everything. And with such an arrangement that blessed day had occurred. It became the day of Islām. It is the first and the biggest battle of Islām. Names of the holy ones who had taken part in it are written in the presence of Allāh ﷻ forever until qiyāmah. Their maqāms are high. They are holy ones. Their names are also beneficial for believers. When they write them down and keep them at home, their barakah comes to people. Goodness and barakah come to that house.

It is a blessed day. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has forgiven their sins. Their past and future sins are forgiven. Badrīyūn – people of Badr. They are named Badrīyūn. They are the highest among ṣaḥābahs. First of all, of course, there are Khulafā’u r-Rāshidūn. And next come these. After Ahlu l-Bayt, there is Aṣḥābu Badr. Their maqāms are high. Their blessing will be upon us today in shā’a Llāh. They will make Islām victorious, and Allāh ﷻ will send the Ṣāḥib.

These people have fallen into despair. There is no more hope. Whatever they do, kāfirs control it. They don’t let them breathe. They have made up such tools and machines now that whatever you do, they strive to ruin what you do immediately. They don’t let you stand up.

But they can do so as much as they want. As long as Allāh Azza wa-Jalla is with you, His ﷻ promise is true, it will happen. Inshā’aLlāh all of them will become Muslim. The whole world will be honored with Islām. There will be no other religion. There is no other religon anyway. Islām’s the only religion in the presence of Allāh ﷻ. There will be no atheists anymore. All of them will become Muslim in shā’a Llāh.

It is not difficult for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. It is not a difficult job. It is not according to our understanding. Allāh ﷻ has promised us, He ﷻ gave us a word that whole world will accept Islām. We remind about this blessed day so that people remember, so that they don’t fall into despair and be hopeless. May people and Muslims remember this day until qiyāmah and attain its barakah insha’Allah.
