Take Abundantly in These Months

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, may He ﷻ bless these three sacred months. They entered last evening. May they be of barakah and blessings. These months are great and beautiful months. They are months that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has specially given and distinguished.

He ﷻ says that Rajab is one of the Hurum, sacred months. No warfare was waged during those months. That is, no attacks were made; only self-defense was accepted. But not otherwise. Of course, what is the situation now? Whom do people accept, what do they accept? They act according to their own minds.

But the important thing is that these beautiful months are a great favor for people, especially Muslims, and a gift from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. The rewards for the good deeds and charity are multiplied many times over; normally, it’s tenfold, but in these months, it’s a hundredfold, seven hundredfold, and Allāh ﷻ says, “I appoint it Myself,” regarding Ramadan, “Its account is with Me.”

The generosity and bounty of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla are unparalleled. Everything is in His ﷻ Hand. He ﷻ gives as He ﷻ wants and takes as He ﷻ wants. May Allāh ﷻ grant us, in shā’a Llāh, all good things.

Shayṭān is stingy. He doesn’t like to give. What he gives is evil, nothing else. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives good things, all kinds of beauty. He ﷻ tells people, “Take.” Those who take, are taking, shukr to Allāh ﷻ. But those who are influenced by shayṭān’s waswasa become envious and don’t accept it. They say, “There’s no such thing. You can’t do so.”

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives. Who are you to interfere in the business of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla? Is it coming from your pocket? “No, like that is wrong, like that is wrong. Don’t do this, don’t do that. Don’t worship more, don’t make more tasbih, don’t do more, don’t pray the Sunnah prayers, there’s no need for Sunnah prayers, there’s no need for nāfilah,” they say, preventing people from doing good deeds and earning rewards.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has placed His ﷻ treasures before us; take. You can take whatever you want. Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “When you enter the gardens of Paradise, Far’taū.” Far’taū means take. Take abundantly, says our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

What are the gardens of Paradise? Dhikr gatherings, places of worship, worshipping in one’s own home. Take whatever you can, that’s the gain. If you close your eyes going to the Hereafter, if you haven’t left anything good behind, then it’s gone, it’s closed. Therefore, take in, abundantly, as much of the goodness that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has opened in dunyā.

So, shukr to Allāh ﷻ, for giving us these months. Today is the first day, in shā’a Llāh, according to our country. It may be a little different in other countries. Therefore, these blessed days are days of gain, days of mercy, days of beauty. Let us benefit from them abundantly.

At least there are tasbihāt for these days. Whoever wants can fast. They can fast the whole months, or for a couple of days, or on Mondays and Thursdays. All of these are gifts from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla; let us accept them, in shā’a Llāh.

May Allāh ﷻ grant us many more beautiful and better years, in shā’a Llāh. May the Islamic world, and the whole world become in Islām. May Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salām come, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ send him soon, because the state of dunyā is very bad. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from evil.

The shayṭāns never stop, and those with them never stop either. They harm people. They harm children. They play with their īmān. Īmān is important. Islām is important. But there must be īmān along with Islām. Īmān is the love of our Prophet ﷺ, his ﷺ way, ṭarīqah. Ṭarīqah is his ﷺ way, the way going to our Prophet ﷺ.

Otherwise, if you just practice dryly, superficially, without īmān, a person immediately collapses. Shayṭān causes them to fall, leads them down evil ways. He succeeds in making them do evil things. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. It is a very dangerous time. Īmān is necessary at this time. We must strengthen our īmān. May Allāh ﷻ strengthen our īmān, in shā’a Llāh.

Today, with the barakah of the month, in shā’a Llāh, our brothers have completed Qur’an Khatms. There are 500 khatms, and all the Qur’an khatms, salawāt, tasbihs, tahlils, ayāt, and surahs done by others, may Allāh ﷻ accept them.

We gift them firstly to our Prophet ﷺ, his ﷺ Ahlu l-Bayt and ṣaḥābah, all the prophets, ‘awliyā, asfiya, and mashāyikh, and for the souls of all those who have passed away. May whatever good goals those who’ve read have be fulfilled. May it bring strength to our īmān. May it be a means of guidance, for our children and for us, in shā’a Llāh.

May we remain steadfast in our īmān, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ not lead us astray. May He ﷻ make us not in need of anyone. May we have abundant and blessed sustenance. May we have happiness here and hereafter. Li-Llahi Ta’ala.

Al-Fatiha.
