Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“فَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا”
(Qur’an 18:29)
“Faman Shā’a Falyu’umin Wa Man Shā’a Falyakfur Innā ‘A`tadnā Lilžžālimīna Nārāan ‘Aĥāţa Bihim Surādiquhā”
“And say, “So whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve. Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them.” Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n. This āyah is right in the middle of Qur’ān: Let them speak the truth. Speak the true word that comes to you from Allāh ﷻ. The truth is the truth everywhere. Wherever it is, no one can say anything about it.
Whoever wants may accept it and believe. He can accept the truth and believe. Who doesn’t want may not believe but be in kufr. He may remain in kufr and denial. But you should speak the truth. Your duty is to speak that.
Whoever wants will accept the truth and be on the way of Allāh ﷻ. Who doesn’t want will remain in kufr. Eventually, he will enter the hall of hell. If they ask for water, they will be given boiling bad water.
Everyone talks about democracy in this world. This is the actual democracy. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has left people free. But He ﷻ tells and shows them truth. Believe and accept that so that you and others are in comfort. If you don’t want it, you will have a punishment then.
It is said here that kāfirs are oppressors for kāfirs and oppressors. Those who don’t accept the truth are oppressors. To whom? They are oppressors to themselves and then to others.
They are oppressors to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla because the greatest oppression is to make kufr to Allāh ﷻ. That’s the greatest darkness. It surely has account and punishment.
Therefore, it is mostly difficult to speak the truth in this world. Sometimes it is even dangerous. Sometimes they resent you, they get upset with you, they go against you – people who don’t accept the truth. This is the lightest.
And most of the people nowadays don’t see anything true apart from what they know. They don’t accept truth. Whatever their ego orders, they go after it thinking that’s right.
But Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla orders to speak the truth. Don’t be ashamed, or afraid of anyone. The truth is the truth. I said it. Did it touch you? Did it hurt you? I said it to all. It is not something to tell everyone one by one. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla said it for everyone.
Who asks for the truth will revert from bad ways and accept the truth. Allāh ﷻ will change all his sins and all badness to so much thawāb and goodness. He will be saved.
May Allāh ﷻ give people mind and understanding so that they accept the truth. Otherwise, they will have joined a completely useless path. They will have joined a dangerous path. May Allāh ﷻ protect people.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Reminder:

Tonight is the 19th of Rabiʽ al-Awwal, the blessed night when our Beloved Prophet ﷺ was honoured with his holy name.
In his writings, Shaykh Adnan Kabbaniق reminded us of the importance of this night, and that we should commemorate it just as we do his ﷺ Mawlid.
