Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained.”
Sayyiditina Umm Sulaymر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The performance of ʿUmrah during Ramadan is equal in reward to performing Hajj with me.”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every action of the son of Adam is multiplied, a good deed being rewarded ten times up to seven hundred times. Allah says: ‘Except for fasting, which is for Me, and I reward it accordingly. He abandons his desires and food for My sake.’
There are two occasions of joy for the fasting person: one when he breaks his fast, and the other when he meets his Lord. The breath of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk.”
Sayyidina Abu Ayyub al-Ansariر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted for a lifetime.”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Fasting is a shield. When one of you is fasting, he should neither use obscene language nor raise his voice in anger. If someone attacks him or insults him, let him say, ‘I am fasting.’”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The five daily prayers, from one Jumuʿah to the next, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiation for the sins committed between them, provided that one avoids major sins.”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for Allah’s reward, all his past sins will be forgiven.”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever stands in voluntary night prayer during Ramadan out of faith and hoping for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
Sayyidina Abu Hurayrahر narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever stands in prayer on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and hoping for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Al-Bukhari)
