Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

May Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla protect us. May we, the believers, keep our hearts firm, in shā’a Llāh. Because we live in the End of Times, and the fitnahs of the End Times are many. Everything has become difficult.
Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said in the End of Times, “يكونَ المطرُ قَيْظًا والوَلَدُ غَيْظًا”, “Rain will fall down as severe (extreme and oppressive) and the children will be unpleasant.” Aw kama qāl.
He says, rain will be a disaster in the End of Times. It doesn’t rain, it doesn’t rain then as soon as it rains, floods come ans sweep everything away. We see this everywhere in this world. People are perishing in floods. Land, belongings, crops, and houses are being destroyed.
These are the signs of the End of Times. Because we are living in the End of Times.
What’s even worse, “والوَلَدُ غَيْظًا”, “Wal Waladu Ghayzan,” “And the children will be unpleasant.” There will be adverse children who torment their fathers and mothers, says our Prophet ﷺ. This is also a sign of the End of Times.
This, of course, is due to upbringing. Because the upbringing is not Islamic, children will unknowingly stray from the way, tormenting their families, tormenting people, and harming themselves.
Therefore, since we live in the End of Times, we must constantly make du’ā’ to Allāh ﷻ to grant us beneficial rain, and we must make du’ā’ for our children to be righteous children. People today complain that their children are rebellious, their sons harm them, their daughters don’t listen, only after it’s done.
We say, you should raise them well from the beginning and show them the way with kindness, not harshness. You must show them adab, morals, Islamic etiquette, and the adab of our Prophet ﷺ, and pray to Allāh ﷻ that they follow that way.
As we said, the most important thing is children. Rain and floods are also disasters, but an even greater disaster is people not having righteous children. It’s important not only for the family but for the entire society. Children dislike their parents. They chase after worthless people. They destroy themselves and cause harm to others.
May Allāh ﷻ protect Muslims and the children of Islām. And then there are those shayṭān people. They accustom them to some drugs. And when they become accustomed to drugs – may Allāh ﷻ protect them.
Therefore, you must be moderate with children; not give them everything. Let the child work a little, strive a little. Even if they do, don’t give them right away; let them wait. Children should serve their mother and father. Now, the opposite is happening.
“What will the child do? What does our child want?” People give everything they have or even don’t. They are in dire straits, and they send them to private universities. University is not a must. Let them work and become men. Let them become someone who believes in Allāh ﷻ. Let them become someone who respects and serves their family.
You send them to university. They become even worse. The child is already confused about what to do. When they go there, they become completely ruined.
Therefore, send a child who will study. If they won’t study, you educate them, so they work instead of staying home. After they study, they stay home, then go out to cafes, here and there, surrounded by bad friends and bad ideas, and then you want them to be righteous children. May Allāh ﷻ protect us.
This is important, because the biggest disease in people today is to educate their children. They send their children to the end of the world to educate them. They don’t know what to do, and then they complain.
May Allāh ﷻ grant us all mind and understanding. May Allāh ﷻ not separate us from the right way. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
