Protect Your Family from Fitnah

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, “In the end times, fitnahs (discord) will be like the darkness of night.” Even if it’s daytime, there’s the darkness of night.

“So what will you do then? Everyone should stay at home, not leave their homes unnecessarily, perform their worship at home, be with their families, and take care of them.” Now, people are focused on themselves in the same family. They don’t think much about others.

They think, “Me first, then others, then family, etc.” That’s why they don’t want the responsibility of family to be on their shoulders; they want to be free. But freedom doesn’t work that way. Everything has its order and etiquette. The world attracts people and immerses them in it. It distances them from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Therefore, people ask, “What is our duty? What should we do? What do you advise us?” Watch over your family. It’s very important. Taking care of your family is crucial. Because many, may Allāh ﷻ protect us, come to us, children have become addicted to something and want to get rid of it, but they can’t. And for that, they ask for du’ā’.

Therefore, we must be careful, in every aspect. The device in their hand, the telephone, or whatever else. They’re releasing poison into them. These soldiers of shayṭān have unimaginable poisons. They’re releasing them from all sides. Gambling is another plague. In the last few days, I’ve seen them send something even to us.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us, that’s why we’re saying we need to be careful. They say, “We gave you five thousand lira, start with it.” O Allāh ﷻ where did this come from? Who gives five thousand lira just like that? The soldiers of shayṭān will start with five thousand lira and plunge you into five hundred million in debt, taking everything you posses.

How does this happen? This is what we are taking about. This is what is called the fitnahs of the end times, the poisons of the end times. We must be careful about our family, ourselves, our children. We must look after them, may Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ help us.

Our time is the end of times. That is, there has never been so much evil in the world before. Our time, the end times, is the worst time. But in return, the greatest benefit, reward, the bounties of Allāh ﷻ, is for those who protect themselves and continue on the right way in this time.

For those who help themselves, their families, their relatives, and their community, there are such great rewards in return for this, and Allāh ﷻ has promised it in return for the difficulties. “Jihād” they say, this is the Jihād; protecting oneself and others against evil.

May Allāh ﷻ help us all. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from this situation, from evil, from the evil of shayṭān, from the evil of shayṭān’s followers. Wa min Allāh ﷻ at-Tawfiq.
