Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ
(Qur’ān 29:20)
‘Qul Sīrū Fī Al-‘Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Bada’a Al-Khalqa’
‘Say, [O Muhammad], travel through the land and observe how He began creation.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, travel through earth and look at the creations of Allāh ﷻ.
One cannot think and contemplate the Essence of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. You should look at His ﷻ creation. His ﷻ Essence cannot be fathomed by anyone’s mind or imagination.
There is a group of people who say that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is “in the heavens, on the earth.” Allāh ﷻ cannot fit into any place. Everything is created by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.
That’s a different matter. But the main issue is to look at the creations of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wherever you go and take lesson from them.
Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, we have a long journey today. With the barakah and himmah (support) of Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim, there are ṭarīqah murids, admirers, and followers all over the world. We go here and there to visit them from time to time.
Everywhere, the places Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has created are beautiful. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has created everything in the most perfect way for the benefit of people.
But what matters wherever you go is not traveling there for the sake of tourism. Our purpose is not for touring, but for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. Otherwise, the world is all the same: large streets, buildings, this and that and so on.
Almost everywhere you go—people get no pleasure from dunyā. But the pleasure we experience and get is the joy of those there, our brothers, or those who will become brothers or will find guidance; those are the things that matter.
Otherwise, touring the world, traveling is not important. Of course, we go here and there – and may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with them, they get happy because they are in service.
What matters to us and makes us happy is the joy of others, their happiness. That happiness is for the love of Allāh ﷻ. Gathering together on this way so that they can direct towards Allāh ﷻ brings them great joy. That joy also brings us joy.
Otherwise, the mountains, the stones, the building, this and that—these things are of no importance. Whether it’s the most luxurious place in the world, the wealthiest or even if it’s the poorest place. It makes no difference.
What matters to us is that those people are happy and rejoice. What matters is the love of īmān and joy of Islām that Allāh ﷻ has given us.
May Allāh ﷻ multiply and increase the believers, in shā’a Llāh. This place we are going to is quite far away. We had been there once before. We wondered if we would be destined to go a second time. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, in shā’a Llāh, it was destined today. We will go and return safely.
And the brothers there will rejoice too. Because the place we are going to is quite far away. And the people there aren’t that good financially. Therefore, when we go there, they rejoice for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. They get very happy.
May they multiply, and may Allāh ﷻ protect them too. May they be a means of guidance for others, in shā’a Llāh. May their families – what’s most important is for their families, their relatives and all of them to embrace īmān and Islām, in shā’a Llāh.
May we all attain happiness in here and the Hereafter, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allahi t-tawfīq.
Al-Fatiha.
