Our Only Guarantee

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Mawlānā Rumī has beautiful poems masha’Allah. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given to his heart every condition of mankind. And he had said it, masha’Allah. Every line, every word is full of great wisdom. He says that what you say will not happen will happen. He says that the time that does not pass will pass. That is beautiful.

People think that something will last forever. Whereas it is not clear what will happen a minute later or a second later. Dunyā is based on possibilities. You can’t say it won’t happen about anything. Anything can happen. There is no guarantee for anything. Everything can change. The Unchanging, the One who is not affected by anything is Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Apart from Him ﷻ, everything can change, everything can become something else.

People think that based on their own experiences and actions, they are making guarantees for themselves, that nothing happens to them. This is foolishness and stupidity. To be guaranteed, be with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. If you do what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla commands, you’ll be under insurance. Keep and preserve the love of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam in your heart. If you respect him ﷺ, you will be guaranteed.

There is a poem that says, everything, every du’ā’ you make is between two things: it will be either accepted or not. Only if you make salawāt upon our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. It applies to all worships. “كُلُّ الْأَعْمَالِ بَيْنَ الْقَبُولِ وَالرَّدِّ إلَّا الصَّلَاة عَلَى الرَّسُولِ فَإِنَّهَا لا تُرَد”, “All deeds are between acceptance and rejection, except for sending salutations upon our ‎Prophet ﷺ; it is not rejected.”

It will be either accepted or rejected. Except salawāt, sending salāt and salām to our ‎Prophet ﷺ. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will surely accept it. No matter how you say it, He ﷻ will accept it. Therefore, this is our secret for our deeds to be guaranteed. But shayṭān doesn’t want that either. People who appear to be Muslim say, “You made Shirk. You committed Bid’ah.” They lead people astray.

Therefore, as we said, there is no guarantee for anything in dunyā, but there is one guarantee and that is loving and honoring our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will not reject the deeds [of who has that]. He ﷻ can reject everything else; it is a possibility. But one thing which is not rejected is our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

Therefore, honoring our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam all the time is our guarantee, Allāh ﷻ willing. May Allāh ﷻ increase his ﷺ love. And may He ﷻ guide people. Because there are some very stupid people out there. And children with strange ideas, “We accept this, we don’t accept that.” And they are wandering around. This is the fitnah of shayṭān.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
