Mankind Is in Either Light or Darkness

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Ayah Karīmah that He ﷻ wants to bring us out of darkness into light. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla desires goodness for humanity. He ﷻ has also given free will to mankind.

Only He ﷻ knows what His ﷻ wisdom is, but Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla desires goodness for mankind. Shayṭān, on the other hand, wants to lead those who are in the light into darkness, evil, and wickedness.

Mankind is between these two; they will either be in darkness or in light. There is no third option. Therefore, obeying what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla commands leads to salvation.

Light means salvation, illumination, beauty, clarity, goodness, and all kinds of goodness. Darkness is all kinds of difficulties, evil, gloom, and all kinds of unknown things.

Therefore, night is more difficult for a person. It is worship that illuminates that darkness. Night worship is therefore more valuable. It is far more valuable than daytime worship.

Therefore, He ﷻ turns that darkness into light. That darkness disappears, and peace and enlightenment come.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla desires good things. He ﷻ guides you to the way of good things, the way of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. That way is light, illumination.

“نُورٌ عَلٰى نُورٍ”, “Nūrun `Alá Nūr”, “Light upon Light!” (Qur’ān 24:35). ‘اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ’, ‘Al-Lahu Nūru s-samāwāti wal ard’, ‘Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.’ (Qur’ān 24: 35)

Allah is Light, Beauty, Shukr to Allah ﷻ. We must follow that way for our own benefit. It is a gift from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla for us. We must not reject it.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us from darkness, evil, and wickedness. May Allāh ﷻ protect us all, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
