Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

We love our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Muslims love him ﷺ. To love him ﷺ is of course the biggest virtue for people, for Muslims. To love him ﷺ, want him ﷺ and to go on his ﷺ way is the greatest virtue for Muslims.
But of course, not only with words, but to act according to our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam’s way and do what he ﷺ did. To do what he ﷺ did as much as you can is a great blessing. Because it is from the grace and kindness of Allāh ﷻ that he made a person do so.
If a person loves and respects our Prophet ﷺ, he must be thankful that Allāh ﷻ has put him on this way. This beautiful way is not destined for everyone.
You see these men, they’ve memorized the Qur’an. They’ve memorized it to the extent that they can read the Qur’an just as you read Surat Al-Ikhlās. They know ḥadīths and so. But if they don’t love our Holy Prophet ﷺ as much as an unlettered person who loves and respects him ﷺ, then they have nothing.
The virtue of that unlettered person is greater than theirs. Because they don’t know the meaning of what they read: that this is all for the honor of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Allāh ﷻ has given this knowledge for his ﷺ sake and honor. They read this beneficial knowledge, but they don’t understand.
Therefore, loving our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is a grace and generosity from Allāh ﷻ. So we must thank Him ﷻ. We must make shukr to Him ﷻ so that it increases with shukr.
If you don’t make shukr – People are not aware of this. Normal Muslim love and respect our Prophet ﷺ. But they must know that this is a grace and kindness of Allāh ﷻ. It is not destined for everyone.
As we said, they know ḥadīth, they memorize the Qur’an, they read all kinds of books. But if it didn’t increase their love towards him ﷺ, it has no benefit. Because they are serving their egos, “I read these. There’s no need for the love of the Prophet ﷺ. I don’t need him ﷺ.” In that moment, he loses everything.
Why? Because shayṭān knows everything. The shayṭān knows not just the Qur’ān but the four books, and all the books that descended upon prophets. But he doesn’t act accordingly.
Then, may Allāh ﷻ protect us, he who doesn’t love our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam resembles shayṭān. Because the one shayṭān hates the most is our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, He ﷻ gave us the love of our Prophet ﷺ. With Shukr it multiplies, in shā’a Llāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
