Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: “الْحُبُّ فِي اللَّهِ وَالْبُغْضُ فِي اللَّهِ”, “Al-ḥubbu fi Llāh wa l-bughdu fi Llāh.” [Hadith]. This means love for the sake of Allāh ﷻ and also do not love for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. You cannot love all your life. It cannot be. Sometimes you love something or somebody, and sometimes you don’t love.
But the Muslim must not hate the Muslim; only for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. If he sees something not good, he must not agree with it. If you agree, you are not with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. You must be with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. What He ﷻ loves, you must love. What He ﷻ doesn’t love, you don’t love.
What does Allāh ﷻ love? He ﷻ loves the good thing. What does He ﷻ not love? The bad thing, the dirty thing, every bad thing. There are thousands or more. Before, it was 800. Now, what Allāh ﷻ doesn’t like became more and more.
For this, our way is the way to ask for the love of Allāh ﷻ. And the love of Allāh ﷻ is like this: what He ﷻ loves, you must love. What He ﷻ hates, you must hate. We hate the bad thing, we hate shayṭān, we hate the oppressor, we hate what is making people suffer. This is what Allāh ﷻ doesn’t like.
He ﷻ doesn’t hate what is good; never. Never is Allāh Azza wa Jalla like this. It is not from His ﷻ attribute. Allāh Azza wa Jalla’s attribute is only the good thing. The bad attribute is for human beings, for shayṭān. We do not agree with this and we hate this. We don’t have hate the personality of a human being or other. No, we hate the bad attribute they have. This is what Allāh ﷻ orders us. Some people say, “You are Muslim,” they hate everything. No. We hate only the bad thing.
May Allāh ﷻ show us the bad, and to hate it. And may He ﷻ show us good, and to love it, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
