How to Be Safe from Shayṭān?

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Rajab has ended. Now it’s Sha’bān. We are nearly reaching the middle of Sha’bān. It is the blessed month of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. AlhamduliLlah this is a big ni’mah to be making what Allāh ﷻ likes. He ﷻ gave us all this ni’mah, to be gathering for His ﷻ love, for Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam’s love, for the love of Awliyā’u Llāh.

It is very important to give love and happiness to the hearts of people; not give badness, hate or any bad thought. It is a big favor from Allāh ﷻ, ni’mah. The biggest thing is to be under His ﷻ order, not out of His ﷻ order. When you are under His ﷻ order you are safe. If you are not under His ﷻ order, you are rebellious, you are all the time in problems, in troubles; nothing will be good for you.

Maybe you thought you’ll follow some people, they say, “Come. We will give you everything. Leave this.” Many people go after dunyā, and leave what they were doing. But this doesn’t give them anything but misery, and the opposite of what they were thinking. Some – may Allāh ﷻ save us and make us to be safe – come back if they go. But if they do not come back, it’s a really bad thing for them.

We are all the time saying, “Allahumma Thabbitna ‘Ala l-Haqq,” “O Allāh ﷻ make us steadfast in this way, not to go out of this way.” This is very important. We must be careful because shayṭān is after everyone who is doing good. He is never tired, he’s never fed up. And he can be like that until end of one’s life.

For this, to be in a gathering like this or to be wherever you are in any place together with Murīds, even if once every week or every two weeks or every three weeks; you must be gathering with good people for Allāh ﷻ to bless you, in shā’a Llāh, to keep you safe from being out of this way. May Allāh ﷻ save us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
