Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ”
(Qur’ān 49:07)
“Wa A`lamū ‘Anna Fīkum RasūlaAllāhi”
“And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah.”
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, “Our Prophet ﷺ is among you.” He ﷺ is among the ummah. Our Prophet ﷺ and his ﷺ ummah; we can’t do without him ﷺ. He ﷺ is always with us.
Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, these blessed days are his ﷺ days. He ﷺ is forever with us, together with Muslims and believers.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is with those who love him ﷺ. He ﷺ says himself, “اَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ”, “Al-mar’u ma‘a man aḥabb”, “A man will be with whom he loves.” (Hadith).
A person is with whom he loves. So many millions of people love our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They always remember him ﷺ. When they mention him ﷺ, he ﷺ is present. We are always in his ﷺ presence, shukr to Allāh ﷻ.
People of ṭarīqah show more respect to him ﷺ and believe in him ﷺ.
Our rābiṭah; it is from the principles of ṭarīqah to make rābiṭah. Many people ask what rābiṭah is. Rābiṭah is connecting your heart to your Shaykh, and the Shaykh connects you to our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
How should we do it? There are some methods: some difficult ways and some easy ways. Ours is the easiest. You should think about your Shaykh and ask for his himmah (support). And through him you should ask for himmah of our Prophet ﷺ. This is rābiṭah.
However they do in other ṭarīqahs, you are in this ṭarīqah. You are on the way of Haqqāni, Mujaddidī, Khālidi, on the way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This way is the easy way. It is for easiness upon people.
There is ‘Azīmah (normative religious ruling) and Rukhsah (concessionary ruling). As it is the end of times now, it is done with Rukhsah. Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim used to always say we are acting according to Rukhsah. Because if we act according to ‘Azīmah, no one can make a step in ṭarīqah.
Therefore, in our ṭarīqah, shukr to Allāh ﷻ we can easily make rābiṭah. Rābiṭah is connecting to our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. And the Shaykh is the means. Rābiṭah is reaching our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam through the Shaykh.
Many people always ask about rābiṭah. Because everyone says different things. How should you do it? Ours doesn’t even take a minute. Just think about your Shaykh, connect to him, and ask for his himmah. That is enough. Rābiṭah will be done. The rest is in his hands afterwards, not in our hands.
You may strive as much as you want, unless they open, nothing happens. But when they open it, they see your state. Based on your intention and sincerity, Allāh ﷻ will accept it then.
Shukr to Allāh ﷻ for giving us this way. Certainly, “وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ”, “Wa qaleelun min ‘ibadiya sh-shakur”, “And few of My servants are grateful.” (Qur’an 34:13). Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says only few are grateful, only few people believe.
Once you enter it, you must make shukr to Allāh ﷻ. On this blessed day today, on this beautiful day of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam there was a declaration for our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Anyway today, there are many various celebrations and ceremonies for the birthday of our Prophet ﷺ. People used to show much more care in older times. They used to celebrate more in more joy. People nowadays are in such a state that they have become like machines. They don’t care about anything. They are not aware of anything.
They look at whatever they have in their hands, either phones, or computers, and don’t look at anything else. Whereas Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla didn’t create you to look at them. He ﷻ created you to be on His ﷻ way, to be with Allāh ﷻ. He ﷻ created you to be from the ummah of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
And today is the day. It is the holy day of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
There are shayṭāns who say it is wrong to celebrate this day. And there are people cheated by shayṭān. They are; Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n compares them to donkeys. Cypriot people used to say “merkep” in old times. Merkep means donkey. It is written in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n.
Donkeys carry valuable books on their backs. But they don’t know anything from what is inside them. People who don’t respect our Holy Prophet ﷺ, who don’t know the value of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam are the same.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam used to fast every Monday. They asked what was its wisdom. He ﷺ said, “I was born on this day.” He ﷺ remembered it every Monday and reminded people as well.
Then, why is it bad to celebrate his ﷺ actual birthday? Why is it not acceptable? We should ask that from these four-legged donkeys.
May Allāh ﷻ give them mind and understanding. Because they are leading others to heresy as well. Everyone thinks they are important and follow them. “They said this, they understand better than us.”
They quit something because they said they should not do it. But the clever ones, those who have a mind turn to Ḥaqq. May Allāh ﷻ make them among those who turn to Ḥaqq. May they appreciate for the honor of these days. May we appreciate, in shā’a Llāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
