Have Adab and Don’t Object

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ”

(Qur’an 39:62)

“Al-Lahu Khāliqu Kulli Shay’in ۖ Wa Huwa`Alá Kulli Shay’in Wakīl”, “Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs.”

Adab is the main teaching of Tariqah. Who joins Tariqah learns Adab. For whom must Adab be first of all? It must be for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the one who created everything. He ﷻ gave life to everything and everyone: to people, non-living things, insects. The whole universe is created with His ﷻ power. All of them belong to Him. “الملك لله”, “Al-Mulku li-Llah.” Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is Mālik Al-Mulk, The Owner of Absolute Sovereignty.

Therefore, the Adab of Tariqah must be for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. It is to know that everything is from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and to not object to it. Objection is the work of shaytan. Those who go on his way object. They object to everything, to the good and the bad. They don’t like anything. They object to everything. Some of them, those who are not in Tariqah interfere in the business of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They say, “Why does Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla not go against that much oppression? He ﷻ is fine with it.”

This world of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is not paradise. This world is the place of tests. Various things must happen. May Allah ﷻ protect us. Mu’min people must beg Allah ﷻ to protect them. Otherwise, it doesn’t work. You may object as much as you want. What will come to you is only by the mercy of Allah ﷻ. You must make Du’a and ask that He ﷻ protects you. Nothing works out by going against Allah ﷻ. Don’t trust anyone by saying “This one will do better, that one will do worse”. Only trust Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla does everything with His ﷻ power and will. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is powerful over everything. He ﷻ makes the difficult easy. Allah ﷻ protects from all kinds of afflictions. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the one who does everything. This is the base of Tariqah. Those who are not in Tariqah object and do this and that even if they are Muslim. That doesn’t bring any benefit.

Therefore, you must accept the will of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. As we said, you must beg upon Adab and say “We are weak servants. Don’t test us. It is the world of tests. Nevertheless, treat us with Your beneficence. Make the difficult things easy. May we not have any test insha’Allah”. This is our Du’a insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ help us all. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
