Hadees: “Beware of what you say!”

A’uzubillah himinsh shaitan nirrajeem

Bismillahir Rahman-nir Raheem

Assalamu’alaikum wrh wbkt

  • Maulana reminds all that the giving of the Islamic greeting of Assalamu’alaikum, is highly encouraged by Rasulullah (saw), even if you recite it a hundred times a day, it is of no detriment, instead, it is a source of great blessings. Many Muslims today have abandoned the Islamic greeting, and in its place, are using words like “Good morning”, “Selamat sore” and other words which have no blessings or barokah in them. Why?
  • Each salam we say, is a source of blessing and safety on the receipient and upon ourselves. It brings light, it lessens the burdens on the soul, it raised the spiritual level, and it encompasses the receipient in blessings and safety. So spread the salam widely, say it frequently and do not be ashamed to use it, it is a great blessing and bounty from Allah, for us all.
  • Allah has blessed the Sons of Adam with the ability to communicate, and so, we are always speaking to one another. Just as the salam contains so much in it, every word we recite, will also bring light or darkness into the hearts of those listening and into our own hearts.
  • Some of our words bring light, blessings and lightens the burdens of our listeners. These blessed words, raise the spirituality of those listening, and also raise the status of those are speaking. On the other hand, some words bring darkness and pain to people around them, placing burdens and difficulties upon those listening, and upon themselves too. Sometimes, a man who is addressing an audience, may bring darkness to all those who are around him, and at the same instance, he may fall from his high station near to Allah, just by a single word that he utters, that is not pleasing to Allah.
  • Maulana says, we are no longer careful about what we say, we do not realise the weight of what we are speaking about. We speak freely and without care, unaware that EACH WORD has a reward or punishment, EACH WORD can raise your station or lower you, EACH WORD can bring light of darkness, EACH WORD can bring blessings or curses, EACH WORD can lessen burdens or increase them, EACH WORD can please Allah or displease Him! Oh Muslims, beware of what you speak, it is recorded and you will be shown and repaid for ALL that you speak! (Allahu akbar!)
  • Not only WORDS, but every ACTION, every INTENTION, every ounce of ENERGY spent, will fall into one of these two catogories. Oh Muslims, be aware of ALL that you say or do, for Allah is aware of all things. A single WORD or ACTION, displesing Allah, may result in you being thrown from the Divine Presence, so be fearful of Allah, have TAQWA.
  • When you speak, and if you are able to feel darkness entering your heart (eg backbiting, lying, speaking vulgarities or explicit words etc), STOP those words immediately and repent, for such words may open a black hole, into which you may fall into and from which you may never be able to get out. You may fall from such an exalted position into a deep pit of misery and suffering, just by what you say.
  • Maulana advises you, YOU MUST BE AWARE OF ALL THAT YOU SAY AND DO, OH MUSLIMS! The Prophet (saw) says, “Beware of what you say!”
  • All creatures/makhloq created by Allah, are in constant remembrance/glorification of Allah, for the remembrance of Allah (Zikir) is the greatest recitation.
  • The Salafi/Wahabi Ulama speak out against the recitation of Zikir, especially against the loud mass Zikir that is done by many. Why do they forbid what Allah has enjoined? Allah says in the Holy Qur’an, “Remember Me, and I will remember you.” On what basis do these scholars forbid Zikir?

Maulana speaks out against the inconsistent practises of the Wahabis. For example:

  1. They say that only after their late leader, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, reformed Islam, was true Islam establised. Do they really believe that the billions of Muslims who lived in the thousand years before him, were all unbelievers? Surely not.
  2. They know that every group must have a leader in Islam. Who is now the leader of the Salafi/Wahabi Sect today? There is none!
  3. They destroyed all the graves in Jannatul Ma’ala and Baqi, stating that no grave must have a building over it. Then why have they left the Prophet’s grave intact, with a building over it?
  4. They say that no prayer is allowed in any building that houses a grave. Then why have they allowed Muslims to pray in Mesjidil Nabawi, which houses the Prophet’s grave?
  5. The Sahabahs had asked Rasulullah (saw), what they should do if the Muslims became divided into two groups. The Prophet (saw) replied in a Shahih Hadees, “Follow the larger group!” Today, there are one billion Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jema’ah, as compared to 100 million Wahabis, why have they turned against this hadees, and not followed the guidance of the larger group?
  6. Allah says in the Qur’an, “Be with the Sadiqin (the Sincere, Truthful ones).” Can the Wahabi scholars show one of their leaders to be Sadiqin? If so, what is the proof? They claim, that such Sadiqin no longer exist. If so, why did Allah instruct Muslims to follow Sadiqin?

  • Maulana says, he has to speak out against those who oppose Zikir, as most other scholars are sleeping (afraid to voice the truth, and often making permissable what is forbidden and vice versa). The actions of these Wahabi scholars, have caused many Muslims to leave the practice of Zikrullah, and Maulana warns these scholars that they will be responsible for spreading this disease, and they will be responsible for the many Muslims who are following these reprehensible acts.
