Following Him ﷺ Is Our Duty

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

‘لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ’

(Qur’ān 33:21)

‘Laqad Kāna Lakum Fī Rasūli Llāhi ‘Uswatun Hasana’, ‘There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is the best example for you. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is teaching the best not only to Muslims but to all humanity. Who follows him as much as he can becomes human. He acts like a human.

All Tariqahs follow him ﷺ. Especially Naqshbandi Tariqah strives to do everything our Holy Prophet ﷺ did and said. Of course, people can’t do 100% like our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. What he did is Sunnah. And our duty as Tariqah is not to leave Sunnah. Among people, he ﷺ is the most superior.

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is sent as an example for people by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Who follows him ﷺ will have no oppression in this world. He will not have badness. There will be nothing but goodness. This is the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. But there are Muslims who say this is permissible and that is not permissible when you do some things. Shukr to Allah ﷻ, our Tariqah is showing everything our Holy Prophet ﷺ said. It follows his ﷺ way.

Tariqah is not outside Shari’ah. Tariqah is the core and heart of Shari’ah. Therefore, its way, the way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is the light for humanity. It is guidance and goodness. Who follows it reaches happiness. He lives well in this world and will be better in Akhirah with the permission of Allah ﷻ. May Allah ﷻ make us all successful on his ﷺ way. May He ﷻ help us walk on his ﷺ way insha’Allah. May He ﷻ not let us obey our egos insha’Allah. May we all reach this beauty insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
