Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has bestowed many favors and gifts upon our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Things that were not given to other prophets were given to our Holy Prophet ﷺ, so much that each one of them, each one individually is more valuable than the gifts given to all of the prophets anyways. But Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given it all especially to our Holy Prophet ﷺ as a gift to his ﷺ nation and to those who follow him ﷺ. It is a gift from Allāh ﷻ. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, “Take. This is my gift for the honor of the Prophet ﷺ. It is an honor to all of you. Let everyone take. Let everyone benefit.” But people leave that and covet trash, garbage, bad things. They do not value that.
One of them is Sūrat Al-Fātiḥah, Sūrat Al-Ḥamd, Sab’u l-Mathāni. “أُعطِيتُ سَبع المَثَانِي”, “U’tītu Sab’u l-Mathāni”, “I was given the seven oft-repeated verses.” Allāh ﷻ gave these seven beautiful verses to our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Their value cannot be measured. Its worth is beyond measure. It is the means to every goodness. It is the beginning of Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n. It is its opening. It is opened with it. Prayer is also unacceptable without it. Prayer isn’t complete without reading Al-Fātiḥah. If you leave it on purpose, your prayer is not accepted. But if you forget it unknowingly, it’s ok. A prayer cannot be without Al-Fātiḥah. There is no opening to the Qur’ān without Al-Fātiḥah. It is a means to all kinds of goodness. It is a cure. It is light. It is a strength of īmān.
So it has limitless and uncountable karamāt and value. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given it to us. It is a great gift to those who follow our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. It is a great favor to those who know its value. And those who do not know its value are at loss themselves. They do not get benefit. If one does not recite Al-Fātiḥah, if he does not value Al-Fātiḥah, none of his deeds will be accepted anyway. Al-Fātiḥah is also recited after the du’ā’s so that those du’ā’s will be accepted. As we said, there is no limit or count to its virtues. It is a great gift that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given to our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and Ummati l-Muḥammadiyyah. It is a cure. It is a means to every beauty.
Therefore, reciting Al-Fātiḥah is something a person must definitely do. Prayer cannot be without it anyways. Apart from that, recite Al-Fātiḥah at every opportunity. If you recite Al-Fātiḥah forty times and blow on the water, it will a cure. So books are not enough to fit the barakāt of Al-Fātiḥah. Thanks be to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla that He ﷻ created us from Ummati Muḥammad. And we received from his ﷺ gifts. May Allāh ﷻ make it perpetual upon us. May it continue, in shā’a Llāh. And may He ﷻ teach those who do not know it. May they be granted it. May everyone be granted it, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
