Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
“قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (162) لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ”
(Qur’an 06:162-163)
‘Qul ‘Inna Şalātī Wa Nusukī Wa Maĥyāya Wa Mamātī Lillāh Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna (162) Lā Sharīka Lahu wa bi-dhalika Umirt wa ana awwalu l-Muslimin’, ‘Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (162) No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
This Ayah Karimah informs people what they should do. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says: “My everything, my prayers, my supplications, all kinds of things are for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ. There is no partner with Him ﷻ.” This is what people must know.
There are some people who ask, “Why did Allāh ﷻ create us?” He ﷻ created us for that reason. Everything must be for the sake of Allāh ﷻ so that Allāh ﷻ will be pleased with you, He ﷻ will put you in Paradise and grant you ranks. Otherwise, those who live their lives for play and entertainment will not be able to have fun in the hereafter, even if they have fun in this world.
Therefore, the way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is the Haqq/right way. It is the way of salvation. The way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is the way of every goodness. One must know this and believe in this. Otherwise, a person lives in vain. He wastes his life in vain. And he will regret it in the hereafter. The one who is on this way should remember Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla in everything, every second, every minute, and intend to be as He ﷻ wants. Otherwise, our deeds will not be of use. Nothing, no other way, other than this way, will be useful. It will not benefit. It will harm and not benefit.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has put this way in front of people’s eyes, but people leave it and go to useless ways. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Insha’Allah may everything we do, eat, drink, walk, go, come and everything be for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ insha’Allah. May Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla accept it. May He ﷻ not separate us from the right way. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
