Everyone Admires Their Own Opinion

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says one of the signs of the end of times is,

“إِعْجَاب كُلِّ ذِي رَأْىٍ بِرَأْيِهِ”

“I’jābu kulli dhi ra’yin bi ra’yih”

“Everyone admires his own opinion.”

Everyone likes their own opinions and dislikes others. This is the time we live in. Everyone likes something, “This is what I think. It’s like this according to me.” And doesn’t like someone else’s [opinion]. He doesn’t accept it or does the opposite.

This doesn’t benefit him. Because a person must seek the truth. He must accept the truth wherever it is. Not everything happens as he wishes. Everything is done as Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla destined. If you object to everything, you will have objected to the will of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla this time.

Most people sometimes say, “Why is this oppression happening in the world? Why doesn’t Allāh ﷻ interfere?” This is another thing that must never be said. For a person to be so disrespectful to the power and majesty of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, is due to his mind deficiency; nothing else. Interfering in the work of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is not the work of a person with mind. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla does as He ﷻ wants. He ﷻ creates as He ﷻ wants.

Let alone the works of Allāh ﷻ, if you say to a higher person, “Why are you doing this? What are you doing?” There are many things you know nothing about. He knows them; you don’t know. If you don’t know, when you object, it doesn’t do you any good. Even most of the times, if a person can see his own deficiency, he will see it. If he can’t see it, it’s the same: the headstrong goes his own way. In the end, he leaves this world without any benefit.

That’s why, you must accept the truth and the right. Accepting badness does not benefit but harms. Even if it doesn’t harm, a person would’ve done a useless and unnecessary work.

Therefore, this is one of the signs of the end of times. Everyone acts according to their own minds. They say “Democracy”, they are deceiving the people. They are disrupting the work to be done. They are prohibiting the good things. They are accepting the bad things. These are big signs that this time is the end of times. After the end times will be the qiyāmah. So the Day of Judgment is near.

The state of this world is not getting better day by day, it is getting worse. Therefore, a person must submit to Allāh ﷻ. He must accept the truth so that he can be free from this. In order to be free from being a slave to his ego, he must accept the truth and then his ego will accept it. Then, he will become a good Muslim. May Allāh ﷻ make us all from them, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
