Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

(Qur’ān 49:06)
‘Yā ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū in jā’akum fāsiqun binabain fatabayyanū an tuṣībū qawman bijahālatin fatuṣbiḥū ‘alā mā fa‘altum nādimīn’
‘O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying if someone is not responsible and you cannot depend on his word, be careful of him, ask, look if what he said is true or not true. Do not accept what he said as if it is law and then go attack other people. After that, you will regret it.
Why? Because these people are innocent. They don’t have anything of what this man said. After that, it will be very bad for you. You will feel bad because you acted quickly without thinking, without looking if it is true or not true.
For this, in everything, you must be sure. When you hear something, you must also be careful. You must research, look if it is good or not good. After that, you decide what you’ll do. This is for everything. Many times, some people are coming and saying, “We went to the doctor and the doctor said you must do this operation.” Every time, you must be sure.
You must ask another also; not one, ask two, three. If all are saying the same thing and you cannot do anything else, be patient or do what they are saying. But don’t go to one only. Don’t quickly do what he said; after that you will have no return from this. You will regret it and say, “Uf! I wish I didn’t do this. I wish I asked others!”
So this is in everything. Some people are good people and one enemy of them says something, you become angry about this and you maybe go fight them. After that, when you know the reality, you will be very sorry, you will be ashamed of yourself. You’ll feel very bad.
For this, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is our Creator. He ﷻ is showing us, ordering us to do every good thing and to obey. To be away from every badness. To not put yourself in such a place, such a condition where others are blaming you because you yourself have done this.
No hurry. Don’t hurry, “العَجَلَة من الشيطان”, “And in haste is from shayṭān.” Hurry is from shayṭān. You must hurry only for good things. For bad things, you must take it easy. Wait. Wait one day, ten days, one month, ten months; no problem. Better than being in such a position which is very difficult for you. You will regret it and be ashamed of people and of yourself because of what you’ve done.
May Allāh ﷻ make us not follow any bad one, any one with bad intention, and not put us in such a condition where Allāh ﷻ becomes not happy with you, our Prophet ﷺ becomes not happy with you and people also become not happy with you. May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe from this bad thing, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
