Eidul Adha Wazifa

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Eid Mubarak to all!

Mabrook on completing the Devotions of Arafah and the fasting of the first nine days of Zulhijjah.

Such a beautiful gift from Allah Almighty for the believers.

Summary of Practices & Devotions

1) On 10th Dhul Hijjah, pray Solatul Ishraq before proceeding to Eid prayers. Recite ‘Subhanallah wa bihamdihi….” 300 times along the way.

2) Do your Eid prayers at home with your family if you did not get to book a place at the mosque, best to do in jama’ah. It must be done before azan of Zuhur.

3) Do remember to bathe with intention, Sunnah of Eid, on this day.

4) Eat only after Eid prayers.

5) Do not fast for the next 4 days till 13th Zulhijjah. You may fast on the 14th and 15th Zulhijjah, as part of the monthly fasting of the White Days.

6) Do charity and continue the takbir of Eid from today all the way till the 13th Zulhijjah. Decorate your Eid with abundant remembrance.

7) Do not cut your hair or nails, till after your animal has been sacrificed.

8) Do Solatul Khusoma between Zuhur and Asar

Link to Solatul Khusoma here.

9) Remember, we are still in the Holiest first ten days of Zulhijjah till maghrib, so all good deeds are still multiplied up to 700 times, so do not let the time pass frivolously. (E.g. Don’t miss Solat Dhuha later after Eid prayers.)
