Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ
(Qur’ān 30:41)
“Žahara l-Fasādu Fī l-Barri Wa l-Baĥri Bimā Kasabat ‘Aydī n-Nāsi”
“Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned.” Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, fasād (corruption) has appeared everywhere. Fasād means deviating from the right way. At sea and on land, He ﷻ says. Everywhere, evil and fasād has multiplied and came out. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says that the balance of everything is broken.
How can these things happen? It is because of the doings of mankind. How can mankind do so much and pollute that much? He has polluted everywhere. Even huge oceans are in a polluted condition. Every place whether earth, stone, soil, mountains, everywhere is the same because of what people have done. There is both apparent filth and spiritual filth.
The spiritual filth has become even worse. Have they had enough? No, they never stop. They continue. And when they continue, harm is upon them.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave us earth as clean. He ﷻ gave it in a good state. He ﷻ said, use it well. No matter how much […] there is, you’re doing the opposite of what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says. After that, they complain. This is done with their own hands. The punishment and evil of the evils made with their own hands is again faced by mankind.
The religion of Islām is the religion of beauty, cleanliness and goodness. Do the best of everything, He ﷻ says. Eat and drink the best food. Don’t waste, He ﷻ says. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has not forbade it.
The things He ﷻ forbid are the dirty and impure things. He ﷻ says, don’t do them. Don’t drink alcohol. Alcohol is not clean, it is najasah, it is filth. Don’t eat pork. It is also filth. No matter how much forbidden things there are, they are harmful to people to eat and drink.
We mentioned a few things, but most of the forbidden things have been forbidden for the benefit of people, not for their harm. But mankind thinks going against Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is a great skill. He will be punished while in this world. And in ākhirah – may Allāh ﷻ protect them.
May Allāh ﷻ reform people. People think themselves more civilized. The more they say they are civilized, the more they’ve gone towards ignorance. They are running after ignorance. They strive to experience badness as much as they can not leaving anything behind.
May Allāh ﷻ protect us all. The harm they’ve done will not touch us, in shā’a Llāh. Because everywhere, the air, water, sea and soil, as we said, have become filthy and dirty. But those with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, from His ﷻ mercy towards believers, they will not be touched by this harm.
May Allāh ﷻ protect us all. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
