Allāh ﷻ Forgives but Ask Forgiveness

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ”

(Qur’ān 05:39)

“Inna Allāha GhafūrunRaĥīmun”

“Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”

May Allāh ﷻ forgive us all, in shā’a Llāh. We say Shukr to Allāh ﷻ. He ﷻ is The Most Forgiving. It is one of the greatest favors that everyone must be thankful for. No matter how much evil people do, no matter how much they sin, Allah ﷻ forgives them. This is important. If He ﷻ does not forgive, then our life would’ve been difficult. But Allāh Azza wa Jalla made it easy. Repent, and I will accept your repentance, says Allāh Azza wa Jalla.

People are always in sin in dunyā. If the sin is not cleansed, it is the biggest dirt, filth. As we said, Allāh Azza wa Jalla forgives whatever you do because of His ﷻ Mercy. But ask for forgiveness. Allāh Azza wa Jalla says, “إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا”, “Inna Allāha Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba Jamī`āan,”, “Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.” (Qur’ān 39:53).

Therefore, as we said, people had sins in old times, but now there are many more sins, badness and everything. Allāh Azza wa Jalla forgives so that it will be goodness for people. If He ﷻ did not forgive, dunyā would not be livable. Allāh Azza wa Jalla won’t give even a drop of water. It is that important.

It benefits the person himself. When he is cleansed from these sins, that burden is lifted from him, he feels comfortable. The more sins he commits, the more burden he bears, the more darkness descends, the more evil descends. A person does not feel at ease. When evil and sin are committed, he does not feel at rest. He becomes more anxious, restless and unhappy.

Therefore, we should not miss this beautiful opportunity that Allāh Azza wa Jalla has given us. Always repent and ask for forgiveness, He ﷻ forgives all of our sins whether done knowingly or unknowingly. May Allāh ﷻ forgive us all. May it be blessed. Ramadan is approaching, may it be blessed too, in shā’a Llāh. It is the month of forgiveness, the month of repentance.

May it be blessed upon us all, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
