30th March: Urs of Sultanul Quloob, Shaykh Raja Ashman Shah

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

The 30th of March marks the haul/uroos of our beloved Shaykh Raja Ashman Shahق,who returned to his Lord on this date in 2012.

Fondly remembered as, ‘Sultanul Quloob’ (King of Hearts), he dedicated his life to the Naqshbandi Way, tirelessly working to spread its light across Southeast Asia.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazimق honored him with the highest praises, stating that he passed from this temporary world as one of the 40 Abdals, who reached a Station no other mureed in this Way had ever attained before.

Tonight, do send gifts of Surah Fatiha, Mawlid and Tahlil, for this noble Khalifa, who was so beloved to Mawlana Shaykh Nazimق.

May Allah accept his deeds, reward him abundantly and be eternally pleased with him.

And may we, by Allah’s infinite grace, be gathered with him and all our Naqshbandi Masters, in the company of the righteous, for all eternity.

Daulat Tuanku.

With love,

Al-Fatiha.

When the late Raja Ashman, Allah bless his soul, passed away Mawlana’s health condition was not stable enough to be informed about this sad news. Today Haji Bahauddin decided to tell his father the news to get his blessing for the Arba’een of the late prince. But before he told him anything, Mawlana told Shaykh Bahauddin the news and revealed to him, and to all of us, the station of Raja Ashman.

SB (Shaykh Bahauddin): Father, you know Raja Ashman…

MSN (Mawlana Shaykh Nazim): …was seen in Sham! What happened to Shah? They told me that he has disappeared in his land.

SB: He walked (to Akhirat) in his land.

MSN: They said he was seen here! (Sham) He is a dragon. Say exactly like this to his mother and father, he belongs to us. He will come along with the Master (Mahdi as). Surely he is one of the 40 Awliya/Al-Arba’een.

SB: Alhamdulillah.

MSN: I didn’t say this for you!

SB: It will be his Arba’een next week. We will go if you give permission.

MSN: Go! Tell them about this matter also. Tell them – “You will see him when Mahdi (as) comes.” He has disappeared. He is not where they took him to. They took him to… Temoh. I know. In the valley within the forest. I knew.

SB: I knew too but wanted to say out loud now.

MSN: I realized at that time when you said you’re going to a far place for 1-2 days.

SB: If you don’t know, who will? Me?

MSN: You know! I immediately sent my salams and asked what is happening.

SB: You immediately made investigation.

MSN: Of course, to see what is going on. He (Raja) said, “This is higher than our kingdom.” He will come with the Master (Mahdi as). He directly passed, without anything. He is a dragon. He swallows.

SB: I said they may write for him “Sultan of the Hearts.”

MSN: Sultan of the Hearts?

SB: Is it good as a title? Is it good?

MSN: Ok.

SB: It is suitable for him.

MSN: He was like this since the beginning when he came to me in London. I looked at him…I was sitting like this and he was sitting there (on the floor). They told me, “Did you recognize him?” I said, “Who is he?” They said, “He is the son of the Sultan.” I said, “How can you make the son of Sultan sit there, O shameless ones? Quickly take him up!” They made him sit up.

He is not from the common people. No, no. He is now the watchman on that side (akhirat). They said, he has appeared in Sham. How can he not appear? If he takes one step, he can also appear in Malaysia and Malaysians go crazy, therefore no permission for there. He is with the Masters. May they have no fear. He is among the 40 (awliyas) up on Arba’een. Huuuuu. He can reach there. O holy one! Someone whispered it to my ear that. I said, “I don’t pay attention to such things.” And when you said, “We are going to a far place for a few days,” I didn’t say anything. Only 3 people saw me there, in Temoh. They love and respect us there, in Temoh. He will be seen.

He is from the Kings. He will be the Sultan there. But he doesn’t care about such things. And there is no such thing as “death”. The men of ghayb/the unseen have taken him. Say like this to the Sultan, may he not fear. If he doesn’t fear, I may send him beside him. Ask him, “Should I send him beside him?” Tell him, “Don’t you worry at all.”

SB: And Masha Allah, the Sultan made niyyah, and is determined, along with Raja Muda, to keep this Tariqat there. They declared there that, “This Tariqat belongs to us – the Perak Royalty, spiritually as well as materially.

MSN: It is astonishing. It is his power.

SB: And they said, “If our son brought this Shaykh Effendi here, if he brought this Tariqat to this country, then we are determined to make it progress and to continue.”

MSN: I will show him to his father and Raja Muda. They are also pure blood. They are also from Sulala at-Tahira, Ahlul Bayt. His mother cried too much.

SB: His mother cried too much, and I also told her say “Subhanim Allah, Sultanim Allah, Nabim Muhammad Alayhis Salam”. She said, “How beautiful this is. Its melody is also very sweet.” She felt relieved.

MSN: There are so many (secret) things but who knows about them? One person said, “He was seen in Sham.” I said, “He was seen in Sham. Maybe he had something to do so he came there.” I am sitting here at this age, what can I do? They ask me, “What do you do?” I say, “I curse who come and go.” Who is your permission from? From Bahauddin. What can we do? The end of it is this. Go!

SB: We may go. And also the jamaat there, they said they see Raja Ashman in me. I remind them.

MSN: Of course they do.

SB: And they also asked for permission, that I make them continue on certain things on behalf of Raja Ashman.

MSN: You have permission. You have ijaza-permission also.

SB: I gave them bayat on your behalf.

MSN: Give! Give all of them.

SB: All of them came and I gave them bayat in his maqam.

MSN: You can’t give bayat like this for free. (joke)

SB: It was free but now we will go and fill it up. (joke)

MSN: Take a bag with you, “Whoever takes bayat, put in this.” I may make them laugh. How is this? (500 bead tasbeeh)

SB: Masha Allah.

MSN: Give this to his mother. She can distract herself with it. His father is not that much but she… This is a beautiful one (tasbeeh).

MSN: How about his wife and children?

SB: They are good Alhamdulillah, patient.

MSN: Tell her that he will be seen. The Sahib ul Waqt is coming. He is among the Kings. Therefore when, when Sultan Abdullah appears, they also appear. They take one by one. So many things are happening but no one is aware of them. And us, we sit here and curse at whoever comes.

SB: It looks like that but there are so many happenings, no one knows.

MSN: There are so many things, son. He is the guardian of the Far East. Did the Brunei (Sultan) come?

SB: He was in Istanbul. He came to Istanbul and left.

MSN: For the funeral?

SB: He couldn’t make it to the funeral. They buried him so fast, without making him wait at all.

MSN: They took him all of a sudden.

SB. It all happened all of a sudden, fast.

MSN: They looked for him.

SB: The Queen said, “For 25 years I thought my son was playing, not serious. I realised yesterday that my son achieved great work in his life.”

MSN: His mother is strong, Affarin.

SB: Yes, the Sultan is also strong. And his sister says that, “The Sultan has grown even stronger.” Subhan Allah.

MSN: When they took him to that side, he started giving strength.

SB: Only Raja Muda broke down very much.

MSN: Broke down? May he not fear. No harm, no harm. Alhamdulillah wa kafa.

SB. Alhamdulillah ‘ala salamah Sayyidi.

MSN: He fell there, when he was going out of that door?

SB: Yes, in his home.

MSN: It looked like this, they took him.

SB: Yes, very fast, very fast.

MSN: They took him immediately to the other side.

SB: Yes, he didn’t even notice.

MSN: He remains now, the men of ghayb (unseen) took him. There is no death there. They will show him when the Sahib (Mahdi as) appears. He will see. He will introduce himself, he will inform them about his identity. Daulat Tuanku! The real kingdom. He got the real power now, Alhamdulillah.

He is strong, strong. His power is astonishing, astonishing. Those people are chosen, they gather and find. Fatiha for his maqam. Recite for his maqam. No harm. It is a sign that there will be a change-tabaddu, that they took him. He taught me to dance. And I have become astonished here, cursing whoever comes and goes. May Allah forgive us.
