Ḥalāl Las Vegas and Ḥarām Las Vegas

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

In shā’a Llāh we are gathering for sake of Allāh ﷻ. May Allāh ﷻ make us happy and give guidance to people. AlhamduliLlah we’ve been together traveling from place to place in Argentina. Yesterday we were masha’Allah with our Murīds and a nice gathering in Córdoba. Today AlhamduliLlah we came to Mendoza.

Mendoza is wonderful. It is at border with Chile, very near to it. Our Murīds masha’Allah made a Dergah and mosque, and are living here with their family. It is a very nice place. The water is running from the spring. We are at an altitude of about 2,000 meters. It is cool and nice; very nice.

And here, I will make a point: I will tell people about two opposite things. You know this place’s name is Las Vegas. Another place is also called Las Vegas; it is its opposite. This is Paradise; that is Hell. Here, it is cool with water flowing everywhere. There, it is in the middle of a desert. They are showing very nice buildings and very shiny cars. It has luxurious hotels and swimming pools. There are women with too much makeup.

But in reality, it is just like the Dajjal: when you see it from the outside, it looks very nice and very good, but once you go inside, you are finished. And it isn’t just people seeking spirituality who are affected; even normal, non-spiritual people are finished there. They are destroying families and destroying humanity. Of course, there are casinos everywhere in the world, but that place is the headquarters of casinos and gambling.

It was built in the desert. It has bad air, no greenery around and no water. Subhan’Allah, they are cheating people with money and [fake] appearances making it seem good. And people are running there, not only from America but even from our own country. Gamblers from all over the world must say, “I was in Las Vegas gambling there,” even if they lost a lot of money.

AlhamduliLlah, here it is the opposite. It looks like it’s old. They built it with their own hands, finding wood from here and there to build it. But they are sincere people; Allāh ﷻ loves them and helps them. He ﷻ also guides other people through them. AlhamduliLIah we were here nine years ago. We came back now, masha’Allah, it has grown, and they are building bigger buildings. This is a Paradise in dunyā and a Paradise in ākhirah also.

For this, people who want happiness should not look for appearances, but look for the reality of things. You must look for the wisdom in everything you see. Even when you look at that bad place, you must also take wisdom in how the ego can capture people and destroy people. These gamblers give up everything for their gambling.

In our country also, the so-called “paradise” of gambling. Many people come, mostly from Turkey, to gamble in these satanic hotels. They welcome them and give them everything: food, a place to sleep, and even a return ticket because they will be left with no money. So the return ticket is provided by the hotels or the casinos.

Gambling is the worst habit for a person. Because when someone gets involved with gambling, they cannot leave it. Maybe they can get rid of other addictions, like alcohol or drugs, but with gambling, it is good if even one in a 10,000 can save himself.

May Allāh ﷻ save us from this bad habit and from these evil people. These people want others to come to them to take their money. They give them many things to bring them to casinos and to these places. In summary, here is the Ḥalāl Las Vegas, and there is the Ḥarām Las Vegas. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
