Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ
“Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū `Alaykum ‘Anfusakum ۖ Lā Yađurrukum Man Đalla ‘Idhā Ahtadaytum”
“O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided.” Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, if you have attained guidance, people in dalālah (astray/error) and kufr can’t harm you. It is them in dalālah.
Your greatest gain is being on the way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. The others may not like you as much as they want. They may neither love nor appreciate you. There is no harm upon you. Everything is good for a person on the way of Allāh ﷻ; there is neither evil nor harm.
Even if the whole world wants to come against you, you don’t need anything from them. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the one who gives. His ﷻ pleasure is what’s important in dunyā and ākhirah.
Of course, shayṭān does not stand idle. He shows the bad as good to people, and the good as bad. Therefore, those in dalālah – In dalālah means those who’ve gone out of the way, people who’ve lost their way.
Those who are always striving to do evil to believers. They’re always against them. They don’t want anything for them. But they only harms themselves; they cannot harm the others.
The biggest harm is upon those in dalālah, in kufr, in denial, those who commit sins. Harm is upon them. The more sins a person commits, the more harm he does upon himself.
Therefore, be on the right way and don’t care. If all the people in dunyā have deviated their ways, no harm will come to you. We say may Allāh ﷻ guide them all, but some are in kufr and stubbornness.
Stubbornness is the biggest attribute of kufr. Although he finds the truth, he doesn’t follow the truth, he does not accept the truth and isn’t subject to it. Why? Because of his stubbornness.
The polytheists were the same. They knew that our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is a prophet, but from their stubbornness they would not come and become Muslims. Therefore, Allāh ﷻ gave them what they deserve.
Our Prophet’s ﷺ way is the way that will last forever, until qiyāmah. It is the beautiful way. You must be with him ﷺ.
May Allāh ﷻ make us all steadfast, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ accept it.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
