The Wisdom of Loving Himﷺ

A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

“Laqad Jā’akum Rasūlun Min ‘Anfusikum `Azīzun `Alayhi Mā `Anittum Ĥarīşun `Alaykum Bil-Mu’uminīna Ra’ūfun Raĥīmun”,

“There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful.” (Qur’an 09:128).

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ﷻ says, we have sent you a Prophet ﷺ from you. He ﷺ is very gentle, very merciful, very caring for you. AlhamduliLlah this time, we celebrate every day, as we said, Mawlid of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. As much as we celebrate, as much as Allāh ﷻ is pleased with us and rewards us.

This is the biggest Ni’mah for people, for human beings: Prophet ṣallá Llāhu’alayhi wa sallam. For the whole universe, li l-Alamīn, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷻ sent him ﷺ as mercy for all human beings, creatures, everything, even stones. Everything got blessed with Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This is a precious gift from Allāh ﷻ for humanity. Because He ﷻ made our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam from human beings, not from another creature. His ﷻ creatures are countless. But we are lucky He ﷻ gave this honor for human beings. We are thanking Allāh ﷻ; we cannot say about other people why they’re not appreciating. This is their will. They are free. AlhamduliLlah, Allāh ﷻ made us follow this way.

For this we are, AlhamduliLlah, celebrating his ﷺ birth every day now to get this blessing from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is what we learn from awliyā’, from ṣaḥābah, from all ulamā’, scholars: to appreciate and celebrate.

Mawlānā Shaykhق was celebrating every time. Once, they invited him to the Far East. They said there is a big celebration for Mawlid in that area. So Mawlana was going there. It was an every day celebration. Mawlānā was very happy with this country. The Sulṭān and his whole country were celebrating, marching in the streets for the honour of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They were celebrating everywhere in this area, but in some places they were looking even more after this day for celebration.

For this, Mawlānā was nearly every year traveling to this area for the honour of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, to be happy, to see the whole country celebrating Prophet’s ﷺ Birth Day. AlhamduliLlah we also celebrate – when Mawlānā Shaykh couldn’t go anymore, we were celebrating in Cyprus, in Lefke. This is a blessing for people who are coming and a blessing for the land also. Because when you are gathering people for praising Allāh ﷻ, praising Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Allāh ﷻ sends His ﷻ mercy, showering mercy to that place, those people.

May Allāh ﷻ make Mawlānā’s Maqām higher and higher. He ﷻ taught us every good thing and made some things continue. AlḥamduliLlāh this way continues until Qiyāmah inshā’Allāh. This wisdom in loving Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is a big wisdom. With his ﷺ love, you save yourself from hell. Without this, I don’t think anybody can survive.

AlhamduliLlah, we believe in what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam [brought]. Mu’min means believer. We believe in what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying. He ﷺ said,

“اَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ”,

Al-mar’u ma‘a man ahabb”, “A man will be with whom he loves.” [Hadith]. The person will be with whom he loves. Inshā’Allāh, we are sure, we believe we will be directly in Jannah inshā’Allāh.

Because there are people – there is you know the bridge, the Sirāt they call it, between the place of Mah’shar, the place of gathering on Yawm Al-Qiyamah, where people wait for their judgement. After this [place], everyone goes on this bridge in which under it is fire. And there are many people who are not believers, they quickly fall down from there. It is very difficult. It needs thousands of years to pass this.

But for the believers, they will be opening their eyes in the grave, Allāh ﷻ makes them to be human again from earth, to be like before. Directly, they will be in Jannah, in Paradise.

So, they ask the angel Ridwan or who is on the door of Jannah, “When will we pass this bridge?” Because they know there is Sirāt, Bridge. We must go on top of it [pass it]. It is difficult, so it takes time. “When will we go there?” [they ask.] They didn’t know they are already in Paradise. The angel says, “You already passed it.” They say, “But the fire! We didn’t see anything from fire or hell. We passed through!? We didn’t feel anything!” So normally, the fire of hell is like a wild animal, roaring. He [the angel] says, “From the Nur of what Allāh ﷻ gave you of the  Nur of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. From what you have from it, the fire was running down; ashamed to go up there.” This is the wisdom of the love of the Prophet ﷺ; how it will be the help for us. Love is more easy for anyone to have. If you have love, your heart is happy, you are at rest. If you hate, you will become more miserable,(more) sad, more stressed.

So we must leave this anger. We must leave hate from us. You must look at yourself. Do not look at others. The others can manage themselves; or they are responsible for themselves. May Allāh ﷻ bless you.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
