The Greatest Gift from Allāh ﷻ

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

“يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ”

(Qur’ān 16:93)

“Yuđillu Man Yashā’u Wa Yahdī Man Yashā’u”, “He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills.” Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ﷻ guides whomever He ﷻ wants. And He ﷻ doesn’t give it to whomever He ﷻ wants. The grace, generosity and wisdom of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla are endless. His ﷻ secrets are endless. “وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا”, “Wa Mā’Ūtītum Mina Al-`Ilmi ‘Illā Qalīlāan”, ‘And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little.’ (Qur’ān 17:85). Very little is given to you from knowledge, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This knowledge of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is endless rivers. People do a couple of things. They think there is no one cleverer and more knowledgeable than them. There is. The knowledge of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is boundless and unlimited.

Therefore, the most important is the guided person. The rest who see themselves as superior, who say “We don’t recognize Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. We don’t know the religion” are not given any value by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Whoever they are, they may own the whole world. Their value is not worth five pennies. Therefore, people who are given guidance by Allah ﷻ have attained a great blessing. They have a big gift from Allah ﷻ. Guidance is a gift from Allah ﷻ to people. There can’t be a bigger thing for guided people.

As we said, the mind cannot comprehend Allah’s ﷻ wisdom. The mind cannot comprehend Allah’s ﷻ business. Some people rant. The Majzub ones are different. Majzub ones say what they want. But those who think they are clever and tell people “This is so and so. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says to do like this and that” according to their own minds have no benefit. They have harm but no benefit. May Allah ﷻ protect us. It is important that people in guidance make Shukr to Allah ﷻ for reaching the grace and generosity of Allah ﷻ and attaining His ﷻ mercy. This is the greatest thing we must make Shukr for. May Allah ﷻ make all of us steadfast insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
