Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm
Sohbah on 20th July 2021 by Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil Ar Rabbaniق

Today is ’Īd. ‘Īdu l-Aḍḥá Mubarak to everyone. May Allāh ﷻ make these virtues last for us. This ’Īd is a favor of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to us. Certainly, He ﷻ gives barakah to those who accept this favor.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is Al-Karīm, The Most Generous. May He ﷻ give relief to Muslims insha’Allah. May there be salvation. There are more troubles for people and Muslims from day to day. Troubles are being caused. As it is the end of times nowadays, the world is messed up, says our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
It is the time when people oppress and kill each other; they don’t show mercy to each other. But to seek refuge at the door of Allāh ﷻ is the best thing. Allāh ﷻ won’t leave anyone who seeks refuge in Him ﷻ. He ﷻ will help him.
Whoever seeks refuge in Allāh ﷻ becomes a winner eventually. Because there is hardship in the beginning. And then easiness comes. A chance is given to oppressors in the beginning. Then that chance is taken away from them, and they get the punishment they deserve.
Therefore, these feasts are always a means to mercy for people, for Muslims.
May your ’Īd be blessed!
People couldn’t go to ḥajj this year. It is a feast of qurbān and ḥajj as well. Many people made qurbān, shukr to Allāh ﷻ. Our Holy Prophet’s ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam order says that whoever can make qurbān but doesn’t make it shouldn’t say he prays. Because when a person can afford it but doesn’t make it, this means that he is not carrying out the order of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He upsets our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, many people who could afford it made it or had it done for them. Because it is not like before anymore.
In older times, everyone would slaughter their qurbān with their own hands as Sunnah. And it would be a nice thing on that day. But nowadays, even though they do it, it has become more difficult. Many people are sending to needy people from here so that qurbān is slaughtered wherever there are more poor people. It is acceptable too.
May Allāh ﷻ accept it. May Allāh ﷻ let us celebrate it in a better and nicer condition next year. May He ﷻ send the Ṣāḥib so that he saves people insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
