Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

The time we live in is the end of time. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, He ﷻ created us in this time. What Allāh ﷻ wants happens. Nothing is as you want it to be. That’s why, you must submit to the will of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Nothing happens with saying, “If only we were at this time, if only we were at that time.” You are living in this time. This time’s manifestation is coming upon you. This manifestation, the manifestation of the end times is a bit chaotic. It is the manifestation of the time of fitnah.
Every day, mankind are bringing out new things; from here, there and everywhere. People are confused about what to do. What you will do is you will surrender. You will do what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla commands us to do, and you will not interfere with the rest. “This happened, that happened.” What Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla be wants happens. Nothing else happens.
Therefore, in the end times, Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim used to say, it’s better not to go out of the house. Because when you go out, there’s fitnah, there’s danger. So sit at home and go out when needed and for work. He says, don’t look outside to see what happened. That’s what the mashāyikh used to say. Who goes out to look wondering what’s happening outside is in danger, says Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim and Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh ad-Dāghestānī. And their time wasn’t like now. Now there is even more fitnah and confusion. It is completely like that.
Therefore, a person with wisdom thinks about his end when he wants to do something. Those who are without wisdom can do anything without thinking. Then, they will regret it. The thing they will regret the most is going against Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. There will be no compensation for his regret later. If he regrets it while alive, it’s good. There is a solution in front of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla for whatever you do when you’re alive. You repent. You give the rights of the person whose rights you violated. You make peace with the person you fought with. You ask for forgiveness from the person you have oppressed. Everything happens. But when you go to ākhirah, things get difficult.
That’s why, this time is the time when the shayṭāns roam around. They make people fight each other over little things. They break their relationships. There’s a story. The shayṭān was sitting somewhere with his boy. He said, “There’s not much work for us here. Let’s leave here and go somewhere else. Let’s make more people fight each other. Let’s cause fitnah.” His boy said, “Okay. There’s something there. Two minutes, I’ll do it and come back.”
A woman was milking a cow. He pulled the cow’s tail. The cow kicked while being milked. The milk spilled on the ground. Her husband came, “Why did you spill the milk on the ground!” He beat the woman. The woman went to her tribe. Her tribe attacked the man. They killed him because he beat her. When they killed him, the two tribes fought each other. They started killing each other because there were dead ones. Everywhere was complete chaos. The shayṭān father said, “What did you do?” “No, I didn’t do anything. I did a tiny move. I didn’t interfere with anything. These people did that.” So something like this happens.
Therefore, people must be careful. They must be very careful in everything they do, every movement they make, etc. so that no calamity or affliction occurs. People who are on the way of Allāh ﷻ do not get involved in worldly affairs anyway. They’ve left the state of dunyā to the people of dunyā. They’ve already made it chaotic. The whole world is now upside down. They don’t know what to do. Just sit and watch. Don’t do anything else.
You don’t have to make any moves. Watch what Allāh ﷻ will do. You know the end. The end of dunyā, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ – For whom is the end of this world? “وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ”, “Wa l-Ā’qibatu Lil Muttaqīn”, “And the [best] end is for the pious.” (Qur’ān 28:83). The end is for the people of piety. They are the winners.
So do not be sad about anything. When you are with Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, don’t rush to anyone, don’t fight anyone. Because there is a time to be silent. There is a time to speak. Therefore, what’s best now is to keep quiet. A thousand years ago, a blessed one said, “ِهَذَا زَمَنُ السُّكُوتِ وَمُلازَمَةُ البُيُوت”, “Hadha Zamanu s-Sukut wa Mulazamatu l-Buyut.” This is the time to keep quiet, and it’s the time to stay home. This was said a thousand years ago. Now, we should never leave the house according to that calculation.
Therefore, the most Muslims can do is disapprove evil in their hearts. If you see evil say in your heart, “This is something that Allāh ﷻ does not like. We leave it to Allāh ﷻ.” Allāh ﷻ is ‘Aḥkamul Hakimīn. He ﷻ is the Most Just. His ﷻ ruling is in effect, shukr to Allāh ﷻ. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
Al-Fatiha.
