AlhamduliLlah we are in the three months of Ash’huru l-Hurum (The Sacred Months). The first one is Dhu l-Qa’dah which will nearly finish. And after this is also a holy, blessed month: Dhu l-Hijjah which is a very important month for Muslims, for believers to make their obligatory worship of Hajj. Who haven’t made Hajj – it is only one day in the year in this month, month of Dhu l-Hijjah, an Arabic Month. Who is not going to Hajj also, it’s also very important. Especially the ten nights which Allah ﷻ mentioned in the Qur’an in Surat Al-Fajr: “وَٱلۡفَجۡرِ (١) وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖ”, “Wa Al-Fajri (1) Wa Layālin `Ashr”, “By the dawn (1) By the ten nights” (Qur’an 89:1-2) The most holy and blessed nights.

So AlhamduliLlah we Muslims, believers, Allah ﷻ encourages us to not forget ourselves, to not forget that we are not created for Dunya but for Akhirah. Every time we must remember this. Every day five times, you must remember. Every month also, you must remember. Especially in the holy months as: Rajab, Sha’ban, Ramadan, Dhu l-Qa’dah, Dhu l-Hijjah, Muharram. It is important for the believer, for the Muslim to ask for more rewards. Allah ﷻ gave you a chance to take more. Take as much as you can take. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be ashamed. Take as much as you can, He ﷻ said. Take. Ask.

If somebody asks from rich people, they maybe give once or twice or thrice, on the tenth time they’ll be fed up from you, “What is this! I gave you ten times, you are still asking.” Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is more happy when you ask more; He ﷻ is happy. So we are at the Door of the Most Generous. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the Most Generous because everything is in His ﷻ Hand. He ﷻ is not afraid for them to finish. As much as people are rich, they are still greedy and are afraid of their money finishing. For this, when somebody asks much, they are not giving. Who gives? Prophets. Because they have the highest belief because they have this connection with Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and Allah ﷻ chose them. They have this generosity and they give without fearing. But now, there is no prophet after Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. So you must look and ask from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

And as we said, Islam is first to believe in the oneness of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and in the Prophet Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. And after that, praying fives times. After that, fasting, Zakat and Hajju l-Bayt: “حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا”, “Ĥijju Al-Bayti Mani Astaţā`a ‘Ilayhi Sabīlā”, “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allāh, those who can afford the expenses” (Qur’an 03:97). To go to Hajj, those who can afford, who can go. Because in these days, unfortunately, people can have money and their health is okay, they can go but not all people are allowed. They allow only very few people to go for Hajj. They make like lottery. Millions of people wait for Hajj. But also, when you put your intention to go to Hajj and you prepare yourself, but something prevents you to go, Allah ﷻ accepts this as you are in Hajj. Because your intention and action is the same: you prepared everything but they didn’t allow you to go. And maybe you cannot live to the next year or the next ten years, Allah ﷻ will accept it, for your intention, as Hajj and you will not be asked why you didn’t go. Because you have money, your health is good and you can go safely but they didn’t allow you. This is not your fault. So, Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: “لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا”, ‘La yukallifu Llahu nafsan illa wus’aha’, ‘Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.’ (Qur’ān 02:286). Allah ﷻ is not asking people for what they cannot do for some reason. This is not from His ﷻ Justice. His ﷻ Justice is that He ﷻ accepts. As Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, somebody in old times was going with a caravan to Hajj and something happened on the road. Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said it is also accepted as Hajj.

We are, everybody all together, our hearts are to be in these blessed cities: Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Madinah Al-Munawwarah. To visit Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, to be in his ﷺ blessed mosque, to visit him ﷺ, to greet him ﷺ. It is the most pleasure for Mu’min and for Mu’minah, Mu’minin, big and small, young and old. All who are believers like to visit and for Dua of when you make Tawaf Wada’, the last Tawaf after Hajj, you make Dua. And Allah ﷻ makes it for us “كَرّات ومَرّات” which means many times and many times to come here.

It is a very special thing for human beings, for all human beings. Whoever believes in Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and His ﷻ Prophet ﷺ, has this good opportunity to go there. But who doesn’t believe, Allah ﷻ doesn’t allow him. The whole earth is for you, but if you like to come and take a place on these days or any other days, for Umrah for example, it can only be for Muslims. This is also a very special thing. Mu’mins, Muslims must be happy with this because in the whole world there is place and anybody can go. But only these two cities, blessed cities, the most blessed cities in the world, only who accept Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and His ﷻ last prophet Sayyidina Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, they can have this blessing. Why is this? Because they are accepting the most beloved one for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla: our Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

We must know how honored we are by Islam. As Sayyidina Imam Busayri says, “بُشْرى لَنَا مَعْشَرَ الْإِسْلَامِ إِنّ لَنَا، مِنَ العِنَايِةِ رُكْنًا غَيْرَ مُنْهَدِمِ”, “Good tidings for us in Islam, that we have an unbreakable support of grace.” This poet is the famous Imam Busayri. He’s saying, “Good tidings for us O Muslims. We have a strong protection, strong Lutf (grace), happiness and every goodness which can’t be destroyed.” This is very important. O Muslims don’t look at other people who are cheating you. They say, “You don’t have anything. We have this big building. We have this car.” This isn’t important at all. This all can finish but what we have doesn’t finish. Nobody can destroy it. Nobody can put another thing in its place. Nothing can compare to this blessed thing from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, to this gift we have.

Everything is for us. Everything, all this world is for you. You must be thankful for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Don’t be sad. Many people are saying, “We don’t have this. We don’t have that.” You have the most precious thing. Allah ﷻ gave you Iman. Many of you were born Muslim, and many of them Allah ﷻ gives them Hidayah and chooses them to be Mu’min, Muslim. And to follow the love of Prophet ﷺ, to follow Tariqah. And Tariqah teaches only good things, teaching love to who love Allah ﷻ. Whom Allah ﷻ loves, we love them. But whom He ﷻ doesn’t love, we also not love them.

But we ask for Hidayah for them also. We are not envious, “No, don’t come to us.” We don’t say this to those who don’t love Allah ﷻ. We say may Allah ﷻ give them Hidayah. Many of them, many people were coming against Islam, and they became the first defenders for Islam. Like Sayyidina Omar ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb who was coming with his sword to Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, with bad intention. But when he went out of there, out of the same house, he went out with Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam in the streets of Makkah, saying Shahadah, saying Takbeer, appearing Muslim. Before he came, they were hiding in this house. When he came there he said, “Why are we hiding, we must go to Ka’bah. We must appear ourselves to these people.” So this we also know: we do not hate these people but we do not love them when they don’t love Allah ﷻ. But when they love Allah ﷻ, we love them. But even with this, we ask for Hidayah for everybody. If the whole universe becomes Muslim, there’s no problem for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. All of them can be rewarded. Don’t think like these narrow-minded people, “If they are coming all of them, there will be no place for us in Jannah.” No, not like here in Canada, if three or four million people are coming they become anxious, “What is this! Where will they come. They will finish.” No, in Jannah, billions, trillions people can fit. There’s no problem for this.

For this, all the time, we are asking Allah ﷻ and praying for people to come to Islam. Because they have – Allah ﷻ gave human beings from His ﷻ light. Everybody has Nur, but it must appear. When they are making the two words: La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadun Rasulu Allah, this light opens and is coming out. But the shaytan doesn’t let these people. They Masha’Allah have everything good; they are honest people and good people, but only two words to save themselves from a bad end.

Insha’Allah Allah ﷻ give Hidayah. And we know from Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, his ﷺ good tidings that in the end of times, the whole world will become Mu’min, Muslim, believer. So insha’Allah this time is near. And we hope to reach this time, to reach this Second Century of Happiness. The first one was with Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, “عَصْرُ السَعَادَة”, “The Century of Happiness.” It was with Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, and it was the most happiest time for humanity. Why were they happy? Because they were with Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. With his ﷺ spirituality, his ﷺ light, his ﷺ mercy, the blessings coming for him ﷺ from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This was the happiest one. Why? On the other side, they couldn’t find something to eat maybe two days, three days. Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, from his ﷺ hunger, was tying his ﷺ stomach with stones to not feel hungry. It was like this but it was the happiest century. Not with filling their stomachs but with filling their hearts with light and with happiness. May Allah ﷻ give us this taste, this sweet taste of Iman. Who has it will not look for anything else. May Allah ﷻ gives us this insha’Allah for the sake of the most beloved one, our Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Sayyidina Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
